Blessing OR Cursing 12-19-04

The only option is one or the other

To bless or to curse is covenant, as bless is empower to prosper, and curse is to fail

Compare to Isaac OR Ishmael

Isaac was the Son of Promise, and he received the spiritual blessing that is eternal, where

            Ishmael’s blessing was only temporal

Genesis 27:26-35, the blessing of Jacob was final by Isaac, irrevocable

even though done by trickery, Rebecca was told the younger would rule

The words of our mouth contain either a blessing or a curse, Proverbs 18:21

Deuteronomy 30:19-20, is Moses’s swan song to Israel and to us

Words are spiritual containers, as in Genesis 1 where, “God said,” and it came to pass

10 times in Genesis 1 it is written “God said,” only 46 times in the whole bible, God

spoke and called into existence what did not exist

Genesis 1:26-28, we are created in God’s image and the first thing he does is to bless us

Genesis 2:19 and the animals being brought before Adam

We are not bystanders, but manifestors

Romans 4:17 faith is calling those things that be not as though they are

We will either speak life or death into our families, blessing or cursing

The cook in prison in Alaska, whose father said he was ugly, and stupid.

Galatians 3:13-14 Christ has broken the power of the curse over us, HIS bloodline, but

we must choose to speak the blessing and not the curse

As parents many of us were subjected to the curse, and it is nearly impossible for us in

the natural to give the blessing, as we have no picture for it

Some of our parents were mean spirited, perfectionists, unloving, critical, bullying,

selfish, and we in turn pass this curse on unknowingly

One parent or the other may have to step between the parties, and say “no more.”

Romans 8:37-39 more that conquerors

We are not victims any longer, we are more than conquerors, but if we “choose” to

remain victims we shall be victims. NO MORE VICTIMS!!! NO MORE CURSE
