Today we are going to focus on the prophetic message.
This was a dress rehearsal for Calvary!
Ø      Abraham and Isaac picture the relationship between God the Father and His son Jesus Christ.

Moriah was a Planned Event.

It took place for a planned purpose.

God tested Abraham; He proved Abraham’s faith.
*Psalm 26:2* Examine me, O LORD, and prove me; Try my mind and my heart.

It involved a planned place.
(22:3, 4)
Moriah is the same mountain as Calvary.
*2 Chronicles 3:1* Now Solomon began to build the house of the LORD at Jerusalem on Mount Moriah, where /the Lord /had appeared to his father David, at the place that David had prepared on the threshing floor of Ornan the Jebusite.

Isaac was 33 years old.
Ø      A small boy would not have been able to carry the wood.

Calvary eliminated the dominion of sin.
