Lunches of Love 18-35-50 (LOVED MOVED IN THE HEARTS OF THE PEOPLE)
Love moves us to do some CRAZY things sometimes

Transition statement: Love is what we find throughout the bible and is seen in the Christmas story.
GOD:
God
God was moved by love to create and rescue! (LOVE MOVED HIM)
He was moved to send His SON to die on a cross! (LOVE MOVED HIM)
The Christmas Story!
Mary accepts her calling (MOVED BY LOVE)
Joseph accepts his calling (MOVED BY LOVE)
LOVE MOVES PEOPLE ..... (US)!
Turn to Luke 2:8-20
8 And in the same region there were shepherds out in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. 9 And an angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were filled with great fear. 10 And the angel said to them, “Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. 11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. 12 And this will be a sign for you: you will find a baby wrapped in swaddling cloths and lying in a manger.” 13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying,
14 “Glory to God in the highest,
and on earth peace among those with whom he is pleased!”
15 When the angels went away from them into heaven, the shepherds said to one another, “Let us go over to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has made known to us.” 16 And they went with haste and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby lying in a manger. 17 And when they saw it, they made known the saying that had been told them concerning this child. 18 And all who heard it wondered at what the shepherds told them. 19 But Mary treasured up all these things, pondering them in her heart. 20 And the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all they had heard and seen, as it had been told them.
In this pericope (Story) we find ADORATION!

The Shepherd ask ....
What just happened / Did you see that?
NO!!!!
They say, “lets go see the thing that has just happened that the Lord has made know to us.”
This is where I want to spend some time looking at (16-20)
(16) They went with haste! (QUICKLY)
They were going to FIND what was told to them!
They were no going to dISPROVE what was told to them.
MOVED BECAUSE OF DEEP LOVE (ADORATION)
They were expecting/looking for/ hearing about all their lives.
(17) When they saw it / they shared what was told to them! (WHY)
Because LOVED MOVED THEM
There are three things about this pericope ......
When what is spoken to you from God is witnessed or realized you have to tell others!
Especially those who where involved!
Yours, as well as others faith increases!
You couldn’t shut those shepherds up after what they just witnessed and confirmed.
(20) They go away giving THANKS and PRAISE!
All of this is done because LOVE MOVES PEOPLE
Transition Statement: Does Love move you?
YOU:
Have you been a part of or witnessed LOVE MOVING?
IN YOU or OTHERS?
It was so awesome you just had to go tell others about it?
Did it cause your FAITH to increase?
Saw someone healed, delivered, freed from the grips of sin?
Did your FAITH increase?
Did you go away giving THANKS and did you give Him PRAISE for doing what was done?
I believe this ..... When LOVE erupts causing movement, it gets all over the place!
When a baby is born in a hospital (LOVE erupts and gets all over the people throughout the building)
The chimes ringing over the intercom when a baby is born.
Can you imagine when the SON OF GOD was born?
LOVE was to pour out all over the world.
LOVE MOVED!
Transition Statement: HAS LOVE MOVED YOU LATLY .... IS LOVE MOVING YOU?
WE:
How do we know if LOVE IS MOVING in us?
Are you telling others?
Or are you keeping quiet?
Is your faith growing?
Or has been decreasing?
Do you spend more time Thanking and Praising the Father?
Or are you complaining and whining?
