 * Psalm 100 is the only psalm with the title, "A Psalm of Thanksgiving". * Shout joyfully to the Lord. Psalm 100:1 * Serve the Lord with gladness. Come before God with singing. Psalm 100:2. * Know about God and who He is to you. Psalm 100:3 * Follow a proper protocol of thanks and praise when you approach God. Be thankful and bless His name. Psalm 100:4 * Verse 5 gives us the reasons behind the commands for thanksgiving. Psalm 100:5 * Thankfulness and respect or value are related - when you are thankful for something, you respect or value the giver and the gift. * Jesus demonstrated this when he fed the 5,000 and there was some food leftover - He did not waste it. John 6:12-13 * This is again demonstrated in the parable of the talents. Matthew 25:14-19 * The one who got one talent buried his talent - did not work with it. Why did he do that? Matthew 25:24-29 * He felt his master was "a hard man, reaping where you have not sown, and gathering where you have not scattered seed." So he was not thankful and so had contempt or disrespect for the master and his talent. To schedule appointment, please send text to 301.442.4583 OR Email: appointment@agapelifeonline.org
