Christian teaching

Incarnation - The divine act where Christ became man.

The Gospels tell us the real story of the Incarnation.
When you read a story the author gives you answers to questions you will ask.

Who? What? Where? Why? When? How?

The story of the Incarnation is found in the gospels.
What are the gospels?
Who are the authors?
Do you think they will give us the answers of Who? What? Where? Why? When? How?

Who is the Supreme author of the Incarnation?

2 Timothy 3:16 ESV
16 All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness,
2 Peter 1:20–21 ESV
20 knowing this first of all, that no prophecy of Scripture comes from someone’s own interpretation. 21 For no prophecy was ever produced by the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.

The Incarnation in Matthew (Matthew 1:18-2:1-4)

The Incarnation in Mark (No Incarnation Story)

Not mentioning it does not mean it is not true or did not happen.
Mark had a different focus for a different audience.
Mark certainly knew about it. (Mark 6:3)
Mark 6:3 ESV
3 Is not this the carpenter, the son of Mary and brother of James and Joses and Judas and Simon? And are not his sisters here with us?” And they took offense at him.

The Incarnation in Luke (Luke 2:1-20)

The Incarnation in John (John 1:1-18)

2 Peter 2:1 ESV
1 But false prophets also arose among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Master who bought them, bringing upon themselves swift destruction.
From ancient times people have tried to explain the Incarnation differently that are heresies.

Heresy - wrong teaching

Jesus had a human body, but not a human mind or spirit.
Jesus was two separate persons. A human person and a divine person.
Jesus was one nature that was a mixture of human and divine.

The Chalcedonian Definition 451AD

Therefore, following the holy fathers, we all with one accord teach men to acknowledge one and the same Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, at once complete in Godhead and complete in manhood, truly God and truly man,

Do you really believe in the Incarnation?
