After Darkness, Light - 2 Cor. 4:6

2 Corinthians 4:6 ESV
6 For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
Ex: Christmas and Lights : Trees, candles, McAdenville,
If we are going to appreciate light we must first understand darkness
We live in a dark world - John The way the most religious treated the Lord: Ignorance, evil, blindness, deafness, deadness
A world of oppression, hunger, abuse
A “world”, Before God said let there be light
Ever since the beginning man looks for a way to fix themselves and what’s wrong with the world.
A new job, a new president, a new spouse. but guess what things seem to go from bad to worse.
Dark indeed!
John 8:12 - Light outside of time and space entered time and space
John 8:12 ESV
12 Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”
Light reveals the truth of how things really are, the way things really look.
Light reveals my sin
Light reveals God’s Glory
Light reveals our hope in Jesus Christ
