SERIES INTRODUCTION
When we see our own story as part of a bigger story our trials and challenges take on new meaning. We find new strength to overcome and carry on. We are willing to endure more to accomplish a greater good. When we see our story as a part of God’s story our lives can take on more meaning than we ever imagined.
We are going to walk through the lives of some of the ordinary people in the story of Christmas and see how their moment in the story of God’s redeeming love can illuminate our own lives as moments in His story.

Luke 1:49–51 ESV
49 for he who is mighty has done great things for me, and holy is his name. 50 And his mercy is for those who fear him from generation to generation. 51 He has shown strength with his arm; he has scattered the proud in the thoughts of their hearts;
Luke 1:52–53 ESV
52 he has brought down the mighty from their thrones and exalted those of humble estate; 53 he has filled the hungry with good things, and the rich he has sent away empty.
