your turn

I tell you what's up, brother. Larry has got an imagination had me. It doesn't matter if he's doing all this for us. We we need someone that can do that for us and to help us to Bridge in our lessons in a way. Hopefully that's beneficial to everyone and that each one can get something from beatified there by thank you brother there appreciate that.

My brother Doug is course in Texas. He's busy with his mom and family there for Thanksgiving and he'll be back this coming week. And so I'm going to fill in for him today and Freud that. That he will make a safe trip back home and I want you to tell Loretta that that tall skinny not so skinny. Elder is praying for her husband. Okay and have him pray for my husband know it's not quite the case now. But anyway, I've been praying for him and I'm praying praying for each and everyone and we want to continue to pray for all those on our prayer list. That's one thing we can do. We may not be able to visit him in the hospital and that kind of thing, but we can spend some time praying to God for those that need our special prayers and and and God special needs special power. So anyway, miss your and be praying for all those that have been named especially those this morning as well as those on our prayer list.

Tell me to talk to you this morning about being a fruit-bearing Christian for the Bible has much to say about that. And I know that sometimes we we do not really stopped to consider ourselves in and what are we doing with our life? And how are we living the Christian Life? Sometimes we just get caught up in Schertz Services if you will and the rest of our service is under God and not really seen or not really done like we would like to have them done. So I want to talk about being a fruit-bearing Christian in the text was read earlier by a good little brother Kaden Kaden and he did a fine job on that and I song service was great and thank you for all the men that to help the service of communion. But in that text and I think I need to read that again. So we will get the idea again or what was there and I want to be reading from the King James version rather than the new King James. Like this if you like to read with me Jesus said I am the True Vine and my father is the husbandman every branch in me that beareth not fruit. He taketh away and every branch that bears fruit. He purchased it, but it may bring forth more fruit. Now you are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you abide in me and I in you as the branch cannot bear fruit would say, I'll accept it abide in the vine no more. Can you accept you abide in me? I am the vine. You are the branches. He that abideth in me and I in him the same bring it forth much fruit or without me. You can do nothing. If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch in his withered and Men gather them and cast them into the fire and they are burned if you abide in me and my words abide in you you shall ask what you will and it shall be done unto you here in this my father glorified that you bear much fruit. So shall you be my disciples as the father has loved me. So I have loved you continue in my love. If you keep my Commandments you shall abide in my love even as I have kept my father's Commandments in a bag and his love. Hearing our text Jesus is our core speaking like the directly to the Apostles of his and that he has chosen and they were still in the upper room, which they went in two and a third chapter of the Book of John and there was the Passover feast and so he is teaching and and training and talkin to the apostles about things that are going to come to pass and a he had instituted the Lord's supper and they had for taking of the Lord's supper now Matthew Mark and Luke deal a lot with the Passover supper. Okay, and the Lord's are institution of that supper, but John doesn't deal with that John begin to deal with the idea of his example, because That impressed him so much that Jesus. The son of God will disrobe is outer garment wrap a towel around himself and take up a base in the water and go about washing the disciples feet.

And there was some difficulty in that but he he got that done in and John was impressed with it because the master would wash off heat. But Jesus was setting forth an example for them that they were to go for what you know and preach the gospel to the world and in doing so they were going to have to be servants because it already talked about who's going to be the greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven. I need a setting forth an example under the Umbra going to have to be a servant and serve others humble yourself before others. If you're going to bear fruit unto God if you're going to reach out to those who are lost and bring them to Christ there has to be a you know, some humility. You have to humble yourself as Paul said, you know, I became all things to all men that buy all these I might save some really humbled himself in ministering to those who are lost. losing my at my notes here now Institute is the Lord's Supper then he presses on and he's beginning to parents of prepare them now for the work of the ministry because he assumed going to depart from them and understand if the apostles could not bear fruit in the work of the Lord unless they abide in the vine. Just think about Christian branches of the day, how is it possible that we could bear fruit to God unless we live by Jesus unless we abide in the vine unless we follow the examples of Jesus Christ.

Jesus is the vine and we are the branches think about it brothers and sisters. He is the very source of Christianity. OK every spiritual blessings are in Jesus Christ Our Lord. He has all power. He is the way the truth and the life no man comes to the father except by Jesus Paul was saying 1st Corinthians 1 verse 30 that Jesus is made us wisdom and righteousness and sanctification and Redemption. He is everything and if we abide in him in the Bible will be able to accomplish the work that the Lord is sending us to do.

We must bear fruit to the Lord. We must be fruit bearing Christians, you know, Jesus often used metal first in describing his purpose and his work on Earth and he is called the Lamb of God the Good Shepherd the bread of life the light of the world and the True Vine.

Now think about this.

The Vineyard are the vine producing the great was a major part of the farming industry in the time of Jesus. Nnn in Palestine The Vineyards were everywhere and even today brothers and sisters The Vineyards are seen from the coastal land to the central mountains even into the desert. They are very very rich. Very very rich in Vineyards is he he looked around and he looked at all the natural surroundings. Okay, and he began to teach spiritual truisms from those things that everyone could identify with I mean that's what a parable is. That's what's allegories are and that's what metaphors are used for. And so Jesus was a master at this kind of teaching he knew exactly how to do that to really affect the minds and the hearts of people who convert him to cause him to stop and consider you don't give some thought to their lives and the way that they're living and how to come to God. Jesus was being a master that I mean a parable is a familiar fact illustrating spiritual truth and Jesus was truly involved in that. Images share a couple of the vineyard Parables if you will that Jesus spoke and see the truth that he's trying to illustrate to the people Matthew morning. Jesus said the Kingdom of Heaven is like unto a man. That was a householder. And he says it goes out very early in the morning and it hires laborers to work in his Vineyard and he agrees with them for a penny of a penny a day and then going to the vineyard and go to work it goes back at the third hour, which is 9 in the morning and he hires others to go work in his Vineyard and he returns again at the 12th hour and also at the ninth hour which would be 3 in the afternoon and he hires other laborers to go to work in this van and then this good man of the house comes back at the eleventh hour not understand that's a 12-hour is the end of the day. But it goes back at the eleventh hour and it Marketplace in there. They already sit when I stand you here are the all the day. And they said no one is hardness a good man of the house said go to my video to work and I'll pay you what is right and they go into the vineyard and work and in one hour he calls his stewardess go pay the labor starting at the last to the first until he began. It's the last time they gave them a penny for that day's work all the way down to those who had hired first in the morning and I begin to think he's going to give us a lot more than that because they got a penny and they only labored 1 hour. But when the steward pay them he gave them one penny nail again tomorrow. It's a good man of the house and said we have like a burden and heat of the day and you made those people who work 1 hour equal to us. Good man of the house said well, you know, you have an evil eye. You judge me what you judge me evil of this, but he said do not I have the right to do what I will with my own was it not mine to give if I choose to give it. He said you got what you agreed with now go your way. Jesus said many are called but few are chosen. I thought about that and I'll get off work for us to listen here for you. What's a lesson for me? It seems to me that he's being the same thing that you know, some come to the Lord early in life may be young people and they give their lives to the Lord and they serve him all the days of their life is faithful Christians. And then there are some that will come a little later this song even later than that and there are some that turn to the Lord even in their senior years some of it may be late senior turn to the Lord and those years and they go into the vineyard and they serve the Lord and what does he do? What does he say you all get the same reward? We all get the same reward those who have served all their Days of Our Lives are those who come late in the life if they come with a true heart and serving the lord Jesus Christ. There's another Parable in Matthew 21 beginning about birth 28 where Jesus said a father had two sons and he came to the first son. He sent his son for today in my Vineyard.

And the son said I will not. But afterwards he repented and went and it came to the second son said the same thing in the sunset. I will go sir, but he went off and he has who did the will of the father and they say the first the first Jesus said go do likewise. I like those of the first okay, but the idea of the kingdom of our Lord Jesus Christ of those who will be blessed and that the kingdom in serving the lord and Christianity is more than just talk. Okay talk is cheap.

Jesus I don't want Acacia not everyone that saith unto me Lord Lord shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he that doeth the will of My Father which is in heaven and that's what it's pleasing unto the Lord and those who do receive the blessings thereof. Yes. Christ is the True Vine and Christians are the branches were not talking about different churches. Jesus was talking about individual Christians because you said if I'm a man of biting me or if a man does not abide in me and so were talking about Christians and every Christian here this morning is a branch in the True Vine. Are you bearing fruit? Are you bearing fruit? I appreciate what brother Steve had to say about we kept us to continue to encourage your brother and then reach out and seek and save the lost even in the time of pandemic you in his time of the turmoil that's going on in America today that we still need to keep our minds and our hearts are toward those who are lost that we might in some way somehow encouraged him to be saved and encourage our Christian brothers and sisters to come on back and worship god with us. Every Christian here. This morning in is a branch and the vine and Jesus said this every branch in me that bear if not fruit. He taketh away and every branch of me that bears fruit. He purchased it that it may bring forth more fruit and spiritually speaking of you looked at that we know we talked about pruning The Vines, but if you are the branches, but if you look at it from the spiritual aspect, he just sang those who bear fruit the Lord Jesus Will purify and Sanctified and key. That we might be able to Bear more fruit to the Lord fruit bearing Christians. What does and what kind are what type of fruit are Christians to bear? in order to please God Well, what we have to do is look at the kind of fruit that Jesus bore right? I mean Jesus is our living example, and we need to follow in his steps and do what he did. Jesus came into the world to save Sinners. That's why you came into the world Everything. Jesus did was to save Sinners all his teaching all his great Miracles all the raising of the Dead everything that he did. Ultimately War II in order to save those who are lost Luke 19:10 that Jesus came into the world to seek and save the Lost. He was a soul winner and he said to the Apostle hearing is my father glorified that you bear much fruit then shall you be my disciples indeed. Shaking in Saving the lost. You know, that's a powerful work and that's a wonderful work and that's a truly rewarding work till they lost souls to Jesus Christ. And it is a great power and every Christian ought to decide to do that. He know there are many ways in which we can get involved and seeking and saving the Lost. She can you say the lost and I want to share something with you out of Philippians chapter 4 verse When Paul was encouraging and thanking and praising the Philippians for their great effort and helping him and his Evangelistic work. Philippians 4 and verse 15 Paul says this now you Philippians. Know also that in the beginning of the Gospel when I departed from Macedonia. He said no church communicated with me except, you know concerning giving and receiving but she only Amber 16 it says 40 minutes at Salamanca you sent once and again to my necessity. And then he says in verse 17 cause I desire a gift but I desire fruit that may abound under your account. He says but I have all in a pound. I am full having received app aphroditus the things which were sent from you and older of a sweet smell a sacrifice acceptable pleasing. Well pleasing unto God know your Bible probably said I don't roam Bill King James version is an older, but it was a good one. It really was a good one. It was an older as he said I sweet smell a sacrifice acceptable. Well pleasing unto the Lord because you see that they were involved in helping Paul the Apostle and his team go about evangelising the world at that time to do their work and they sent once and again to his necessity and he said man that is a pleasing in a Living Sacrifice to God, you know, it's like it's like our Thanksgiving dinner. Most of you enjoyed that, you know, when y'all start getting together and you walk in the house and Aroma of a turkey in the dressing and all that good stuff that's being cooked and prepared for dinner man your mouth goes to water in his and you're ready to start eating. Are you not what a beautiful Aroma that really is. You know what? I think about that in this Christian. I wonder how many times I wonder how many times that we have caused. God to smell this a rumor. Abba supporting missionary work. You know how many times have have we really allowed him to smell the aroma of a Sweet Sacrifice? Well pleasing unto God they're giving to those are do you know when we're doing a good wife good working over cuz you know that I love this work and I love those are involved in it. And that's John and his team is a mission do the mission work there in India and they've been there going on forty years and they have labored there along with all of the lady preachers and all Hue work and labor so much to seek and save the lost in there been millions of souls baptized into Christ that had become Christian through all of their efforts over these years million. And now we've been a part of that for about the last ten years because we collect our Free Will offering the Second Sunday of every second Sunday of every month for that great work what it's a dollar or $100 whatever you in person can give last time it was $477. Sometimes it's more than that. Sometimes it's list, but every dollar that goes over there is important for the work that they're doing and every $7 results in the salvation of the Soul. And he says when you give to support those who are missionaries in evangelist and preachers and teachers that engaged in sand involved in winning sold a man. That is a sweet odor. A toy to order a sweet smell a sacrifice acceptable 12 under God.

Thank you so much brothers and sisters for your efforts in this. Well, Jesus gave the Great Commission to the apostles after he arose from the dead Matthew chapter 28, and it came to him. He said all power has been given unto me in heaven and on Earth go ye therefore and Make Disciples of all Nations baptizing them in the name of the father and of the son and of the Holy Spirit teaching them to observe all things whatsoever. I have commanded you and lo I Am With You Always even until the end of the world. So I gave that Great Commission. And you said I'm going to be with you to the end of the world is still at valid work. He wants us to continue preaching and teaching and ministering to every nation under Heaven until he returns and he says I'll be with you until the end of the world. And you know brothers and sisters this more urgent today than it ever was more urgent today than it was in the first century. Why would we say that because there are billions of people in the world today than there were in the first century. Thank God for all the churches that are scattered throughout the world is churches that are teaching and preaching and trying to reach those and those missionaries who are in foreign countries and other places trying to share the gospel to cry and Williams Brothers and Sisters in Christ. As a Congregation of God's people need to be active in our own communities and winning Souls, but also in supporting those that are a far-off, you know, you mentioned earlier Steve how we received a sizable gift for my sister who had passed away and left it to the church, you know, and I think the reason that doesn't happen God is taking care of us because we're involved and World evangelism because we're involved and we want to grow and we're doing the best that we can to do that even in in the X like we're dealing with today. Play God is taking care of us. And we need to be so thankful. And so praying to make make

what we do Worthy. Of what God is doing for us. He doesn't want any to perish but all to come to repentance need to Bear the fruit need to Bear the fruit of seeking and saving the Lost 2nd. They will need to Bear the fruit of righteousness. You know, Jesus when he came he said I didn't come to do my own will and he was obedient and he was under subjection and I always to the father but as a son and his children of God should be always understood ejection to the father and always seeking to obey him and all that he wants us to do with Paul write Philippians 2 verse 5 and following but he says let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus think about that. Let this mind be in you which was in Christ, you know, everybody here has a mind. Do you not well have a mind because we're living B and we all have them well have a mind and you know, God gives us the power over our minds.

What have the money we have the power to use our minds in a righteous way we have the power to do tell tell ourselves. What we should be doing in obedience to the Lord. We have that power and he said let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus. He said you have the power to follow in the steps of Christ. You have the following a simple way for apps to do what Jesus. Did you have the power to Bear the fruit of righteousness in your life? But it goes on to say and he says let this mind be in you which was also in Christ. Jesus who being in the form of God thought it not robbery to be equal with God but made himself of no reputation and took upon himself. The form of a servant was made in the likeness of men and being found in fashion as a man. He humbled himself and became obedient unto death. Then he says even the death of the Cross even the death of the Cross. He didn't just die. He died on the cross. He died the death of all death. Think about that painful Rising the suffering and humiliation of Our Lord hanging on that tree naked.

Suffering and dying is shedding his blood for this for you and for me and for the sins of the world.

Yeah, if you didn't just died died on the cross. Hebrews 5 verse 8-9 the Bible says that we were son yet learned. He obedience by the things which you suffered and being made perfect. He became the author of Eternal salvation to all them that obey him.

The author of Eternal salvation when we obey him Who Bore the fruit of righteousness unto death. Jeremiah the prophet has something to say about that and Jeremiah 23 verse 5 & 6 it says behold the days come saith the Lord that I will raise him to David A righteous branch and a king shall reign are prospering shield execute judgment and Justice in the earth. And in his days Judah shall be saved and Israel shall dwell safely. And this is his name, whereby he shall be called the Lord our righteousness the Lord our righteousness and I want you to know brother and sister Jesus learned that Talent learned that Talent earned that title.

As the son of the Living God when he went to the cross and died for the sins of the world. He is the righteous Son of God and God glorify him and honor him Hebrews 1:8 and 9 says unto the son. He say at the throne o God is forever and ever a scepter of righteousness his the scepter of that Kingdom that has love righteousness and therefore God God, I know today with the oil of gladness above the fellows any continuous fast that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father.

The boys are free to righteousness you and I need to be bearing the fruit of righteousness in our life. We need to be living righteously before God. Living righteously means we abide in the word of Christ. Lighting in the word of Christ Jesus he said in 2nd Corinthians 5:21. He said God made him to be sin for us who knew? No sin that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. Need some righteousness in your life. Play Jesus was a sinner, but God made him suffer the sacrifice for our sins for years then for my sin.

And if you need some righteousness in your life, you need to get into Jesus Christ the son of the Living God. Cuz that's what righteousness is. I fall asleep to the Galatians. We're all children of God by faith in Christ Jesus for as many as have been baptized into Christ. I put him on that a wise we put on Christ we're closed with Christ and we must bear the fruit of righteousness as did our Lord Jesus Christ. OK number 301 about doing good acts 10 verse 38. He just went around doing good and I believe it is and I think the Bible teaches that every Christian ought to go about doing good Posse as we have therefore opportunity. Let us do good in the oil man. Oh man those you like those you don't like Do good at all man in that right, brother? Do I need to do good unto all men, but then he says is specially okay. It's specially to those who are of the household.

Household of faith. We are the family of God.

We are his children. Jesus is the vine and we are the branches. We will if you will we are the spiritual family tree. We're all United together by the blood of Jesus Christ. We are all in the family of God. He's just purchased us with his own blood and we are together. We need to love one another and care for one another lift one another up help one another to put others first, especially in the household of faith. We need to care for each and every one. He just said this and John 13 while they were still in the upper room. This is a new commandment. I give unto you that you love one another as I have loved you that you also love one another by this shall all men know that you are my disciples if you have love one to another.

Going about doing good.

And Galatians 5 22 and 3 really cats all this off. Okay. When Paul says to the churches of galatia the Fruit of the Spirit. Is love joy, peace, longsuffering gentleness, goodness Faith meekness and Temperance our self-control. There is no law. And we possess the fruit of the spirit in our lives. We're going to always seek to do that which is pleasing in the sight of God. We're going to love we're going to have joy we're going to have peace we going to be alone suffering with those who need that. We're going to be gentle. We're going to be filled with goodness and faith and all of those things which are the fruits of the spirit. Paul said not only should we walk in the spirit, but we must live in the spirit and let these fruits be really apparent in your life. I asked you this morning. Are you fruit bearing Christian?

Are you going about doing good?

Are you bearing fruit of righteousness in your life? Are you living the obedient life?

Are you shaking in Saving the Lost?

Matthew 25 beginning verse 31. We all know that Jesus came to make judgment and all the nations were before him. Any put the as a Good Shepherd you put the Sheep on the ride and goats on the left and he said to those on the right or to the chief. He said, you know that how sorry he says received the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world is just because I wasn't hungry that you gave me meat. I was thirsty and you gave the drink I was the stranger and you took me in I was sick and you visited me I was naked and you clothed me.

House shaped I was in prison and you visited me and they said Lord. Did we see you hungry do gave you made or when did we see you thirsty and give you drink? When did we see you a stranger and take you in or or or or enclosed AR. When do we see you? Shake and visit you are in prison and then you know, they were kind of puzzle. What do you mean Lord explain this to us? What are you talkin about? Jesus said unto them far as often as you did this to one of the least of these my brethren you have done it unto me what week am I go about doing good now as often as you do this to one of the pile righteous leaders those high up members of the church who lead the church and are the highest spiritual one in all the pious one.

He said as often as you do this to one of the least. Of these my brethren you have done it unto me.

And we know that on the other hand, he said that those on the left hand also the same thing but he said you didn't do any of those things and they said well, we didn't see you needing any of those things you said again. If you didn't do it to the least of one of these you didn't do it to me and they will go away into Everlasting punishment, but the righteous or go away until you turn the light.

Brothers we need to be fruit-bearing Christians and we need to stop and examine ourselves from day-to-day, you know, am I in my working for Daddy and it is that my life. I have the mind of Christ and I have control over that what it what am I thinking about? What do I think about and dwell on it and think about it all the days of my life every hour of the day, you know, is it the lust of the flesh the lust of the eyes and the pride of life I do I spend my time thinking about the Lord and searching the scriptures and meditating on the word of God. Do I spend time and thinking how I might leave his soul to Christ. Do I send my time thinking about how I can live more righteously be more obedient unto God the Father. Or am I just walking my own way without giving any thought?

Well, we need to examine ourselves from day-to-day and consider all life that we're living and see what we can do to live more acceptable in the more obedient to the Lord our God.

I praise you much for being here on I know that it's it's it's difficult times right now. And there's a lot of Heartache going on in a lot of suffering for a lot of people a lot of folks are dying of the covid-19 here in Oklahoma as well as in the other states of our great nation and throughout the world and we we we know that sometimes we just lose sight of what we need to be doing and how that we need to be serving the lord because of God's in charge no matter what the rules in the kingdoms of man. No matter what is over everything and he knows the need that each and every one of you have As a Christian and he knows what he's going to want to every one of us opportunities that we have and we need to use them not a Christian said he that believeth and is baptized shall be saved. He that believeth not shall be damned. But it might be here that you're here. You're a Christian and you've not just really been walking like you should or bearing the fruit of righteousness are living for the Lord Jesus Christ a living for yourself instead. Maybe you need to repent of that get you life right back with the Lord. So You Know that heaven will be your Eternal home When by should have come while we stand together and sing.
