Take Courage John 16:25-33 1. Jesus reassured the disciples (25-30) 2. Jesus encouraged the disciples (31-33) 1 John 4:4 - 4 You are form God, little children, and have overcome them; because greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world. 1 John 5:4-5 - 4 For whatever is born of God overcomes the world; and this is the victory that has overcome the world - our faith. 5 Who is the one who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God? Our weakness and failures do not nullify the faithfulness of the God. 2 Timothy 2:13 - 13 If we are faithless, He remains faithful, for He cannot deny Himself. We can have peace in the midst of our struggles because Jesus won the battle that matters. Ephesians 6:11 - 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil. Philippians 4:6-7 - 6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. 7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Knowing that Jesus was victorious at the cross and what it means, we can enjoy His peace in the midst a hostile world.
