In our gospel Jesus is cleansing the temple area from merchandisers who are getting rich of religion. The Chief Priests, Scribes and their leaders, are angry at Jesus and want to kill him, But the only thing that was standing in the way was the faithful people of God who were hanging on the words of Jesus.
Hanging on the words of Jesus keeps evil at bay. It can also lead to supernatural blessings and miracles, as the Blessed Virgin Mary instructed, “do whatever he says” in the miracle of wine at the wedding in Cana.
Our Nation and the World is going through very dangerous times seasons. Like never before faithful Christians must have great hope in the Lord hang on to every word of Jesus in prayer, to keep evil at bay and to merit special grace and mercy from the Lord.
Just a few examples of the words of Jesus I am hanging on to these days? when he said, “I have come to proclaim liberty to captives, set liberty to those who are oppressed, to open the eyes of the blind, and at the Beatitudes, Blessed are the poor in spirit for theirs is the Kingdom of heaven, and “Behold I am coming quickly”
My brothers and sisters, I don’t know what you may be going through these days you may be full of joy without a care in life, or you may deeply grieved with what is going on in our nation the world and the church.
