Intro. - The good worker vs the bad worker

The Good Workman v15

The good workman is a hard worker

He is like the hardworking farmer

He is diligent - in study and preparation

The good workman is God centered

Living for the approval of God and not men

This person has eternity in view and a kingdom mentality

The good workman is accurate in his teaching

Correctly teaching - cutting a straight road

Teaching backed by Scripture and the historic Christian faith

The Bad Workman vs16-19

These are not lazy people - they work against Christ

They have wandered from the truth - they have missed the mark

They quarrel about words, engage in godless chatter, and wander from the truth

Their teaching spreads like gangrene (v17), ruins those who listen (v14), people become more ungodly (v16), faith is destroyed (v18)
