How do you live in such a way that you are alive?
#1 It requires taking the first step towards Christ. (Col 2:6-7)
Would you rather die for someone or live for someone?
Discuss as a table what you would have to give up in order to live for someone?
What does this mean for each of us?
Jesus isn’t asking you to wear a pin, he is asking for your life to be used for what He has in mind?
Letting you lives become a picture of what Jesus has done for you. Also, letting it be the theme of your life.
#2 It requires Obliterating the past you. (Col 3:5-11)
How hard is it for you to change? (1-10) Explain.
What does this mean for each of us?
Being humble enough to see our shortcoming and being ready to kill on sight.
Being courageous or confident enough not to be shamed by our attitude or habit that needs changing.
#3 It requires wearing the right stuff. (Col 12-17)
What is a clothing item that you would like to wear? (could be a brand, style, look, whatever)
Have you ever seen someone that “wore” attributes that you wanted to be seen wearing?
What does this mean for each of us?
It means thinking of ourselves a little less, and others a little more
It means getting to know others just a little more so that we can gain insight into how to serve them.
It means having time (meaning, making time)
