You should always prepare to have an offering, but your offering is not as important as your offering being accepted by God.
Amos 5:21-26
What would you do if you gave an offering and God did not accept your offering.
4 And he shall put his hand upon the head of the burnt offering; and it shall be accepted for him to make atonement for him.
Atonement-
Atonement. In Christian thought, the act by which God and man are brought together in personal relationship. The term is derived from Anglo-Saxon words meaning “making at one,” hence “at-one-ment.” It presupposes a separation or alienation that needs to be overcome if human beings are to know God and have fellowship with him. As a term expressing relationship, atonement is tied closely to such terms as reconciliation and forgiveness.
We have been discussing for months about the ideology of repentance and forgiveness;
What we must consider is forgiveness has a process, it is far more to the process than just saying Lord I’m sorry! there must be atonement made
Matthew 6:9-12
