Who is Isaiah?

Probably a priest since it appears he is in the Holy of Holies in the Temple in Jerusalem when he has this vision. It seems that this takes place about 730 years before Jesus is born.
Isaiah 6:1–8 NIV
1 In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord, high and exalted, seated on a throne; and the train of his robe filled the temple. 2 Above him were seraphim, each with six wings: With two wings they covered their faces, with two they covered their feet, and with two they were flying. 3 And they were calling to one another: “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord Almighty; the whole earth is full of his glory.” 4 At the sound of their voices the doorposts and thresholds shook and the temple was filled with smoke. 5 “Woe to me!” I cried. “I am ruined! For I am a man of unclean lips, and I live among a people of unclean lips, and my eyes have seen the King, the Lord Almighty.” 6 Then one of the seraphim flew to me with a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with tongs from the altar. 7 With it he touched my mouth and said, “See, this has touched your lips; your guilt is taken away and your sin atoned for.” 8 Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?” And I said, “Here am I. Send me!”
Luke 5:4–11 NIV
4 When he had finished speaking, he said to Simon, “Put out into deep water, and let down the nets for a catch.” 5 Simon answered, “Master, we’ve worked hard all night and haven’t caught anything. But because you say so, I will let down the nets.” 6 When they had done so, they caught such a large number of fish that their nets began to break. 7 So they signaled their partners in the other boat to come and help them, and they came and filled both boats so full that they began to sink. 8 When Simon Peter saw this, he fell at Jesus’ knees and said, “Go away from me, Lord; I am a sinful man!” 9 For he and all his companions were astonished at the catch of fish they had taken, 10 and so were James and John, the sons of Zebedee, Simon’s partners. Then Jesus said to Simon, “Don’t be afraid; from now on you will fish for people.” 11 So they pulled their boats up on shore, left everything and followed him.
God always equips those he calls into service. Isaiah wasn’t clean but God cleansed him. Peter, James, and John were not ready to catch anything…they never catch anything in the Gospels aside from the miracles of Jesus! But Jesus equipped them as disciples.
Jesus has called us to be his disciples, and has called us to make disciples.

Who’s Your One?

Two options here.
You recognize someone in your life that God has equipped you through relationship/friendship or proximity to be able to have a Gospel conversation with them. It isn’t dependent on your ability to do this! God will equip! The Spirit will provide the words.
You recognize that you are the one that needs to be discipled in order to be more like Jesus.
The leadership here at East Side is meeting regularly to get at the heart of what it means to be a church that makes disciples of all nations. This isn’t a verse about supporting missionaries, although that might be related.
Jesus called us to be disciples who make disciples. Just as he called Isaiah to be a voice to his people in his time, and equipped Peter, James, John, and others to be a voice in their time to their people, HE HAS CALLED US IN THIS TIME AND PLACE TO BE HIS VOICE TO THE PEOPLE OF SNYDER TEXAS, and to ignore this is to fail as a church and as a people set apart in Christ Jesus.
Our mission is to GO.
