Christians are supposed to be happy. In fact, we are supposed to
radiate joy, peace, and contentment that is so unmistakable and so
attractive that others are naturally drawn to us because they want what
we have. And yet, in today's culture, the vast majority of Christians are
perceived as angry, judgmental people who don't seem to derive any joy
from life whatsoever. So why aren't we happy? Join us Sunday mornings
at 9am starting March 18 as we discuss this topic. Materials: Randy
Alcorn’s book: Happiness, DVD sessions, and workbook. Contact Tim
Hays to order study guide.
Membership Class
For anyone interested in membership, class will begin at 9:00 on Sunday,
March 18 in Pastor Dave's office. There is no obligation to join, but this
class will give you an overview of what our church teaches and stands for.
Please come if you would like to investigate further.

God Among the Sages: Why Jesus is not Just Another Religious Leader, by
Kenneth Richard Samples
If you would like to know more about some of the world’s major religions and how
they compare to the person and message of Jesus Christ, this book will be helpful.
Four religions other than Christianity are covered – Hinduism, Buddhism,
Confucianism and Islam. The book includes information on how best to approach
someone from any of those backgrounds.
News -- Happenings and Highlights in Bangladesh: February, 2018 Teresa
Vanderford
It was a Sunday afternoon in January when I first met Rishat, a young lady in her
early 20s. She came in with significant respiratory distress . . . and she was 33
weeks pregnant. Rishat was born with a heart condition. She was suffering serious
complications of pregnancy; her liver and kidneys were damaged -- delivering the
baby was risky for both Rishat and her baby. There were some scary moments, but
God answered prayer and did the impossible for her and her son. Her tiny little boy
came out with a strong cry. He weighed only 2 lbs 5.5 oz. Thank you to those who
pray. Thank you to the doctors and nurses who come short-term to join with us in
joy and pain. Most of all, thank you God for answering prayer and for doing the
impossible for Rishat and her family.
Please pray: that I continue to learn and grow and stay close to Christ; in the
busyness we keep our focus on the most important things; for God to provide
urgently needed doctors.
