Giving & Receiving
We are called to walk & live by faith.
Giving is better than receiving because giving starts the receiving process.
It's best to start the discipline of generosity when the amounts are small. It's easy to give ten cents out of a dollar; it's a little harder to give a hundred thousand out of a million.
Giving is better than receiving because giving starts the receiving process.
Nothing teaches character better than generosity.
Here's what is exciting about sharing ideas with others: If you share a new idea with ten people, they get to hear it once and you get to hear it ten times.
Sharing makes you bigger than you are. The more you pour out, the more life will be able to pour in.
Somebody says, "Well, I can't be concerned about other people. About the best I can do is to take care of myself." Well, then you will always be poor.
What you give becomes an investment that will return to you multiplied at some point in the future.
When somebody shares, everybody wins.
The amount you give isn't important. What matters is what that amount represents in terms of your life.
Only by giving are you able to receive more than you already have.
But faith is only possible when you know God's will & plan for us.
What is God's will?
Are we to be poor?
Poverty = to be a beggar to be destitute.
English - lack, little or no money, deficiency of desirable ingredients or qualities, insufficiency, destitution, need, want, small, unproductive.
Prosperity - Hebrew & Greek = to push forward, to help down the road. To succeed in reaching.
If you are prospered you are helped etc.
English = successful, flourishing, well, abundance.
Not just money. People may have money & not be successful.
More to poverty than just lack of money.
Both poverty & prosperity are a state of the mind not the pocket book.
Just because you don't have a lot of money does not mean you are poor. It's a condition of heart.
3 John 1:2
Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.
You are not poor because you didn't ever get a break or opportunity. I never had a rich uncle, I grew up poor. That is not why you are poor if you are poor.
It's because you believe poor, think poor & talk poor. If you are poor on the outside it's because you are poor on the inside.
If you have been in poverty for a long time I don't mean to say that you will be millionaire over night. There is time involved in this and how much renewing of the mind you do.
You can't be perpetually poor on the outside without being poor on the inside.
Prosperity is also a state of the heart & mind.
I might have lack if I look at check book. But I'm not poor.
Lord wants you to prosper.
Poverty & Prosperity are not only conditions of outward man but of the inward man.
It's a way of thinking. As long as you think poor and talk poor you will be poor.
People always want to blame the government or someone for their problems. Many folks are just lazy & full of doubt & unbelief.
You have to think prosperous and talk prosperous if you want to be prosperous.
You have to quit doing things like saving junk because someday you may need it.
Proofs of God's will for you.
What kind of God is He? Cheap or flourishing?
El Shadda
Shaddai refers to the “ALL Breasty one”, signifies nourishment and supply.
One who is mighty to nourish, satisfy and supply. One who sheds forth and pours out sustenance and blessing.
The all sufficient one.
The shedder forth of blessings,
He's the God who is more than enough.
That is God's name and that is His character.
He is the supplier.
Heathen gods developed over the years are females with many breasts. Why? To show they nurture and take care of their people.
But we worship the almighty God. Not a copy.
Jehovah Jireh - The Lord will provide
Gen 22:14 When offering Isaac.
Genesis 22:14
And Abraham called the name of the place, The-Lord-Will-Provide; as it is said to this day, "In the Mount of The Lord it shall be provided."
Rom 8:32
32 He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?
If He would provide Jesus He will provide anything else you need.
We have to be careful we don’t define “all things” according to our own limited knowledge or poverty thinking.

But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
If not prosperity then what - poverty? Either one or the other. Not multimillionaire.
God doesn't look at amounts He looks at proportions. What you have left after giving. Widow woman gave all she had.
How did God treat His servants of old?
Did they lack, do without?
Adam & Eve in the garden.
No clothes - Prosperity is not having clothes, but perfect climate
No car - no job
No vacation - always on vacation
No house - didn't need one. No grocery store - got it fresh off the tree, not frozen.
God told them they could eat of every tree but one and that's the one they wanted. Why? Covetousness & idolatry.
God is opposed to His people having lack but He is also opposed to covetousness.
If you want folks to get stirred up tell them they can't have it.
Tell kids they can't and that is the very thing they want.
Why -Temptation? God has said there is so much we can have and certain things we can't. We aren't to long for anything that belongs to someone else. WHY? There is plenty for us. We don't need what they have.
God told them where to find the Gold. And that it was good.
Genesis 2:12
And the gold of that land is good. Bdellium and the onyx stone are there.
They WOULDN'T KNOW THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN GOLD AND GRAVEL. Why isn't gravel as valuable? God said Gold is good. That is what He builds out of.
Now we find out that gold is best conductor of electricity.
They didn't know that it hadn't been tested in the lab. But God said it was good.
Gold is good. Money is good.
Adam & Eve had it all but covetousness was their downfall.
Patriarchs - Abraham, Issaac & Jacob.
what kind of God did they know. One of poverty or one of prosperity?
Genesis 12:2
I will make you a great nation;
I will bless you
And make your name great;
And you shall be a blessing.
I will bless you; make name great and YOU WILL BE A BLESSING.
You can't be a blessing until you are blessed.
Some folks just want their needs met. They are selfish. If you want to wear worn-out old clothes and eat garbage that's fine. But you should believe God for money for others to give.
It takes money to get the Gospel out. If you want to just get along that's fine but it's not God's best.
Poverty is not lack of money but rather fear of lack.
Genesis 13:2
Abram was very rich in livestock, in silver, and in gold.
Genesis 13:5
Lot also, who went with Abram, had flocks and herds and tents.
It's important who you hang with. I.e. In the Church.
Often folks are blessed because of the faith of others.
Lot was blessed because of his association with Abram.
The land was not able to bear them, they had so much. It was God who gave it to them. They could have gotten along without so many sheep. They could have gotten by with fewer camels and less gold. They had so much they couldn't live in the same area. And God gave it to them.
Abram said lets not fight. You look over the land and take what you want. That is faith. Covetousness says that's mine let go get out. But faith knows God is going to take care of me. Faith is not afraid of coming out on the short end of the stick because faith knows God is my El Shaddai my Jehovah Jireh.
Lot looked over and took the best. That’s greed. Faith always prefers your brother.
Lot took the best Abram took the rest.
God came to Abram and said look out there. I'm going to give it all to you. He got it all when he gave his best away.
Lot took the best and he lost it all his wife and life.
Armies came and took Lot and family. Abram went after them and conquered them.
Met Melchizedek and gave tithes of all to Melchizedek.
1st record of tithing before Law given. Tithing was long before the Law. And goes beyond the Law into New Testament.
Abram gave ten % of all.
When he got back to the city the king of Sodom said take all you want.
Gen 14:21
21 Now the king of Sodom said to Abram, "Give me the persons, and take the goods for yourself."
Abram is already rich he said NO. He knew this was not God's way of prospering him.
You have to make up your mind you will not be prospered any other way but God's way and God's time.
There may be opportunities that are not God.
Some one gives back more change than you deserve. Well look God has met my need. You just flunked the test.
God really prospered Abram later. But he knew this was not God's way.
Gen 14:22-23
22 But Abram said to the king of Sodom, "I have raised my hand to the LORD, God Most High, the Possessor of heaven and earth,
23 "that I will take nothing, from a thread to a sandal strap, and that I will not take anything that is yours, lest you should say, `I have made Abram rich'--
You have to learn to refuse money unless God gets the glory out of it.
I ALWAYS HAVE ALL SUFFICIENCY IN ALL THINGS AND ABOUND TO EVERY GOOD WORK.
God didn't make all these things for the sinners to have and abuse and to sin with.
The devil doesn't want you to know God wants you to have money. He has fun sinning with your money.
He doesn't want you to go into a country with a plane load of food and Bibles. Where they wouldn't let you in just for the fun of it, but when you go in with food they will open the door.
Abram said no, I won't take it. He waited on God's way. God's way is always best - but not always the first way that comes by. Some times you have to pass up the fist way in order to get God's best.
Folks get antsy and get into trouble. But if you will learn to wait and not take short cuts you can have God's best.
If your heart doesn't feel right about it don't move on it.
IF IT'S NOT QUIT, IT'S NOT RIGHT.
If it's right you will know it. It won't be shady. It will be alright.
It’s not God meeting your need through extra change at the check stand - that is you stealing.
If you find money don't assume God gave it to you find out who lost it.
The Lord is not a crook. He doesn't steal from your boss to bless you.
If the devil can get you into shady deals he can curse you money.
Abraham was hospitable -
Being truly hospitable is being spiritually mature.
Abraham when the three strangers came.
He was sitting in the doorway of his tent meditating on the Lord and His goodness when the 3 came.
Sarah fixed them some good food, Young man told to go get some steaks.
Learn how to treat people. Be nice.
Most folks are too covetous to spend any extra on guests.
Learn how to have a liberal soul. Be Godly, Be nice.

Learn to be hospitable, hospitality is not just a Southern deal.
We need to learn how to treat people like Abe did.
Even Lot picked that up from Abe, when the strangers came to town he compelled them to stay with him.
Some folks are too selfish to be hospitable; not being hospitable has to do with a poverty spirit.
Eccles. 11:1-2
Cast your bread upon the waters,
For you will find it after many days.
2Give a serving to seven, and also to eight,
For you do not know what evil will be on the earth.
A lot of folks have a poverty spirit that keeps them from being a giver. It grips them to the point that if they are to feed 5 they get enough for 31/2 or 4 and stretch it. That is not the way God is. He is the God of more than enough. Abundance, lots the best and the rest not rake by scrap by. Not just barely get by. I am your everything. It's lifestyle of liberality, giving and receiving, glory to glory, get some , give some, get some more. It is a mental attitude adjustment that we have to make in order to be like God. He is the God of plenty. He likes nice things, the best gold, the good gold. It is not spiritual nor is it healthy to be poor. There is nothing humble about being poor, doing with out when God has said "All your needs are met according My riches and glory in Christ Jesus."
God makes plenty. If you need 10 lets do enough for 20.
If someone takes one, say take two, be blessed.
One lady minister would take a $100 give and say have a good dinner.
Prov 11:24-25
24 There is that scattereth, and yet increaseth; and there is that withholdeth more than is meet, but it tendeth to poverty.
25 The liberal soul shall be made fat: KJV
25 The generous soul will be made rich, (NKJ)
25 A generous man will prosper; (NIV)
Poor people in other countries will give shirt off back and be glad to do it. It's a matter of heart and mind.
He who sows bountifully

2 Cor 9:6
6 But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. (NKJ)

[Remember] this: he who sows sparingly and grudgingly will also reap sparingly and grudgingly, and he who sows generously [that blessings may come to someone] will also reap generously and with blessings.

And God is able to make all grace (every favor and earthly blessing) come to you in abundance, so that you may always and under all circumstances and whatever the need be self-sufficient [possessing enough to require no aid or support and furnished in abundance for every good work and charitable donation].
9As it is written, He [the benevolent person] scatters abroad; He gives to the poor; His deeds of justice and goodness and kindness and benevolence will go on and endure forever!
10And [God] Who provides seed for the sower and bread for eating will also provide and multiply your [resources for] sowing and increase the fruits of your righteousness [which manifests itself in active goodness, kindness, and charity].
11Thus you will be enriched in all things and in every way, so that you can be generous, and [your generosity as it is] administered by us will bring forth thanksgiving to God.
Folks are afraid to help folks because of all the junk, but follow your heart. Don’t be Hitch-hikers. Don’t just stop and don't just pass by. Be lead.
There have been times when I've helped folks and times when I've put them in the street. Be lead. Folks now days are good at giving a hard luck story taking advantage of you.
A lot of the time they want money to buy cigs or drugs or booze. I'm not buying cigs for anybody.
Tribesmen would take a baby that was about to die and run it all around to different churches getting money to help the baby. When it died they would get another one.
Folks pose as ushers at big meetings & take off with the offering. Campmeeting, etc.
It's good to be hospitable. Abe was rich - God made him rich & we serve the same God.
Genesis 24:36
And Sarah my master's wife bore a son to my master when she was old; and to him he has given all that he has.
He left Isaac lots of talents. 100 lbs of Gold = $800,000 at $400 an ounce.
Isaac started out rich. Is that good or bad? Depends on how you train them. Teach them to work and to get a job if they want things.
Prov 19:14
14 Houses and riches are an inheritance from fathers, .
Prov 13:22
22 A good man leaves an inheritance to his children's children, but the wealth of the sinner is stored up for the righteous.
A good man leaves wealth to his children. How can you be poor and leave some? It must be OK to save some.
Deut 28:8
8 "The LORD will command the blessing on you in your storehouses and in all to which you set your hand, and He will bless you in the land which the LORD your God is giving you.
How can he bless the storehouse if you aren't to save or have extra? Money does not have to ruin kids.
Some folks if they had money would give it to everybody and anybody. but you can't help everybody by giving them money. Some folks just need a break but other would be just as big of a bum next year as they are now. Be lead. Teach kids faith and work.
It's God's will for us to prosper.
Abe gave everything to Isaac.
During famine in the land God told Isaac not to go to Egypt (world) but to stay and sow.
Be lead, just because something is available to you don't just use it.
Genesis 26:1
There was a famine in the land, besides the first famine that was in the days of Abraham. And Isaac went to Abimelech king of the Philistines, in Gerar.
Don’t go to Egypt. Egypt is a type of the world. But don't go to the world when things get tough or because it is available to you. Obey God wait on God. Abe didn't take from one king because it was not God's way.
Don't go to the world I'll take care of you even when it looks bad to the world. He got 100 fold in a time of drought. He started out rich now he is very prosperous.
Jeremiah 33:9
Then it shall be to Me a name of joy, a praise, and an honor before all nations of the earth, who shall hear all the good that I do to them; they shall fear and tremble for all the goodness and all the prosperity that I provide for it.'
Great prosperity can be a witness for the Lord; can cause people to fear God.
Devil wanted to get to Job bad because he was rich, God made him rich, and people want to hear what the billionaire had to say. What did he say? Jehovah, He is God serve Him and he will keep you in all your ways. People said hey! it's working for him, lets go to his church. But poverty could be hindrance to some people. If they have money and you tell them they have to give it all away they may not be interested anymore.
You can't trust in money
Mark 10:17 rich young ruler.
not telling him he'll be poor all life. He wanted him to get free from money. he wouldn't do it.
Prov 19:17
17 He who has pity on the poor lends to the LORD, and He will pay back what he has given.
But didn't Jesus tell the rich young ruler to give all of his away? Yes but you don't take one isolated incident a make doctrine for everybody else. Jesus saw what his problem was and Jesus dealt with it. If rulers heart had been right God would have given him more.
If you are not willing to give them up - you have a problem.
People listen to people who have money.
Luke 16:1-
David would make a big haul & give presents to the elders in Israel. gold, sheep etc. we want you to be blessed. When it was time for him to be anointed these men spoke in his behalf.

I'll give a tenth if you bless me.
When he left all he had was a stick, when he came back he had two bands of people and goods.
God prospered him greatly.
But it took ten years it didn't happen over night.
Folks think that you give offering today end of month you have millions. NOT. He prospers progressively.
What we want is progressive increase.
As you give God increases.
Jacob began with a stick made a vow to God & 10 Ys later he was a rich man.
He met up with Laban, a real wheeler dealer an expert at fine print contracts.
Jacob took a liking to Rachel. Laban said work for me for 7 Years and you can have her. After 7 Yrs. he got Leah instead. He must have been REAL DRUNK not to know Leah from Rachel.
Each time Jacob made a deal with Laban. God would bless Jacob & Laban would change the deal.
He cheated him 10 times.
God is going to take care of you. If people in the world change the contract, God will bless you in spite of them.
Jacob wound up with all of Laban’s cows and sheep.
Laban followed him with business on his mind, God told him not to bother Jacob.
Jacob didn't take Laban to court. Bro should not take bro. to court
1 Cor. 6:1-7
Dare any of you, having a matter against another, go to law before the unrighteous, and not before the saints? 2Do you not know that the saints will judge the world? And if the world will be judged by you, are you unworthy to judge the smallest matters? 3Do you not know that we shall judge angels? How much more, things that pertain to this life? 4If then you have judgments concerning things pertaining to this life, do you appoint those who are least esteemed by the church to judge? 5I say this to your shame. Is it so, that there is not a wise man among you, not even one, who will be able to judge between his brethren? 6But brother goes to law against brother, and that before unbelievers! 7Now therefore, it is already an utter failure for you that you go to law against one another. Why do you not rather accept wrong? Why do you not rather let yourselves be cheated?
Just take it don't try to get it back or defraud them yourself. But they ripped me off, they did me wrong. SO just take it
But they ran a red light. You never ran a red light. How many have run a red light?
Everybody makes mistakes and it may affect you. Sure make it right but not crazy. Mercedes hits you and you get dollar signs in eyes. Lawyers are interested in money not fair and just. Just getting bid settlement. Its being a liar a thief.
Yea but they have lots of money but its not yours.
People get big settlements and end up worse off they will waste it.
What if someone tries to rip me off - let them do it. Don’t set yourself up, but if it happens - let it go.
LET IT GO IN YOUR HEART. Forget about the money.
people have done you wrong and it hinders you because you won't let it go.
I don't care if it was a million dollars - let it go. for your sake.
2 Chron. 25:5-9
Moreover Amaziah gathered Judah together and set over them captains of thousands and captains of hundreds, according to their fathers' houses, throughout all Judah and Benjamin; and he numbered them from twenty years old and above, and found them to be three hundred thousand choice men, able to go to war, who could handle spear and shield. 6He also hired one hundred thousand mighty men of valor from Israel for one hundred talents of silver. 7But a man of God came to him, saying, "O king, do not let the army of Israel go with you, for the Lord is not with Israel--not with any of the children of Ephraim. 8But if you go, be gone! 1/4 million lost. God says don't worry about it it's only money. There is more where that came from. Don't take folks to court.
Lord says forget it - you messed up. It's only money
If you put money into something and you can't get it back some way but ugly... Forget it.
Some folks want me to pray with them they will get there money back some times you can't. You should have listened to God 1st. Maybe it's time you learned a lesson. You will remember this one.
Let’s just believe God and get it back. Maybe God has bailed you out many times before and now it's time to learn. God will give you more IF you will seek Him.
The wealth of the wicked is laid up for the just.
You have to get free from money. Some folks buy something find out they paid too much and they get sick.
They get upset because they idolize money.
When you get money in its right place you use it, it doesn't use you.
God told king to forget about it.
But so and so did me wrong - you should have been lead. They are Christians, your fault.
We need to learn to accept responsibility. Dummy you should have listened to God. It's my fault.
If I pay too much it's my fault. Car is junk, they lied to you your fault. Smile and learn the lesson.
That's bitterness and unforgiveness and you are in trouble with God.
Covetousness blinds you makes you insensitive to God.. don't blame others. Blame yourself and learn.
Your faith will grow.
We don't have to but we may learn a few lessons the hard way.
If you get taken just let it go, don't get bitter. Don't be covetous.
If you get ripped off, whose fault is it?
If you miss it - don't mess it up further.
Don't blame others, accept responsibility. Suck it up.
If you buy a lemon at the car lot, whose fault is it? Do you blame the salesman? NO
If you pay twice the price, whose fault?
If you spent more time praying than shopping you would fair better.
Don't be out lusting over things when you should be praying.
Though Laban changed Jacobs wages 10 times over the yrs Jacob came out a rich man.
If you will just stay with God you will come up gradually.
I'm believing God for our own home and better used cars.

It Is God's Will for YOU To Prosper
Abe was rich
Genesis 48:15
And he blessed Joseph, and said:
"God, before whom my fathers Abraham and Isaac walked,
The God who has fed me all my life long to this day,
He came back with multitudes. God blessed him in spite of Laban (the world) trying to cheat him.
God is smarter than any business man. If you will stay with God. When all is said and done, you will be blessed.
When you give your best, God will give you the rest
1. There are more important things than money.
Relationships.
People won’t talk to each other because of money. Family members etc.
When you see someone is having trouble over money. Just let it go. If it’s causing them problems - let it go.
If selling property or something and they are not comfortable. Let them go.
But we have a contract. Let it go if they are uncomfortable.
Especially when dealing with family members.
Like a car.
You would think most people would know a $300 dollar car won't last for 20 more years.
You would be better off to not sell them anything as soon as something goes wrong they will be on you. You sold me a lemon etc.
Remember the church is Family too.
Be careful when dealing with church members.
Be lead when selling.
If you have to take a loss, then take it. Don't worry about money. Always choose the relationship, not the money.
That will be a witness. If you just let yourself be defrauded they won't be able to figure you out. They will be interested.
A lot of folks witness is ruined by business deals.
People get so ugly around settlement time.
I.e. divorce or a will.
I'm going to get mine.
People get crazy over inheritances.
I don't need their stuff.
Before I would go to court over it I would let you have the whole thing and not be bothered about it. I don't need it that bad.
You should be willing to just walk away. Let it go.
Things mean too much to some folks.
It is just stuff. It's going to burn one day anyway - let it go
People get attached to things & that is not good.
You ought to be able to let anything you have go. You shouldn't have anything, that if God said give it you would turn loose of it right now.
If you have something you can't let go of or would not give away. It has you.
It should not devastate you if you whole house burnt down. It's just stuff. It isn't going to last. You can't take it with you.
Some things have us, we don't have them.
Some things we would rather have someone else get hurt than to hurt some of our stuff.
Young father in Oklahoma who found 3-4 yr. old son hitting his new pick up truck with a hammer.
Took hammer and smashed all of sons little fingers. He just went berserk.
In hospital little boy asked daddy what he had done, because now he had to have all his fingers amputated.
Young father went home a shot himself.
That is extreme but family members fight over heir looms. Never talk to each other for years. Causing bitterness and sorrow.
The Stuff is not worth it.
Use it, give it away throw it away.
A lot of folks who have a lot of stuff cluttering up their lives have a hard time hearing from God.
When folks are real messy it is a spiritual sign.
When you live like a pig. Everything thrown around. That's the way you think too. Disorganized.
God can't even get into your closet it's so full of clutter.
Don't ever give me something with strings attached that I can't give it away.
I don't want to be so attached to something that if God says give it I give it.
I had a 7mm Mag Ruger that I dearly loved.
But I gave it away. I felt lead.
Sometimes folks would rather you got hurt than for their prized possession were harmed.
It's just stuff. They make it every day. There is lots of stuff.
It's a freedom to be able to just give it away.
The rich young ruler was just too attached to his money. It had sentimental value to him. He and his money had been together a long time.
Don't just be in the flesh when giving. Be lead.
You can't meet the needs of the whole world, but you need to give where God leads.
People fight over pictures and what not. It's just stuff. Yea but I can't ever replace it SO.
It will be ashes one day.
Realize the important things of life. Use them for the glory of God and throw your junk away.
I don't want stuff to encumber me doing God's will.
Some folks can't do what God has for them because they are too in debt for stuff they have charged.
They won't part with their stuff to follow God. The stuff is more important than God's will.
Devoid of excess. Things slow you down & get in the way. Clean it out.
Most folks are so disorganized they are always late.
People need to eliminate unnecessary things from lifestyle.
If too much TV trim it off. Too much recreation trim it off.
God, Church and & Family should be priority.
If God is priority then you make time for Him.
If Family is priority then you don't do things that would jeopardize the family .
If church then you are prepared for services, not late not tired - ready.
Priority - If you don't have time for other things then you don't have time.
Some folks take time for things they really don't or should not have time for.

People won't like to be around you if you begin to prosper.
When people accuse you of being snobbish you have to ask the question - is it true.
There have been times I couldn't tell certain people about a blessing because they would get jealous.
We tell not to boast but to share the blessing .
But folks get mad because they have been believing God longer than you have.
They say yea that's great, we are real glad for you. It looks like it hurts them to say it.
When one of us is blessed we ought to all rejoice. We are all in the same line. If God will do it for one He will do it for you.
Some folks are just farther up the line than you might be. It's the same line. The blessings are coming if you don't get out of line.
We should never get envious of others.
Gen 39:2

Joseph was prospered while in jail.
Some folks don't think God could prosper you when the economy is bad.
But our needs are not met by the economy they are met by God's riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
God can bless you right in the middle of a depression if we will get in line with Him.
During the great stock market crash many folks went bankrupt. But others made millions.
The money doesn't disappear, it is redistributed.
Just because there are hard times doesn't mean you have to go down the tubes.
Somebody has to get it.
Joseph was not even a citizen of Egypt and God blessed him in another land and while a prisoner.
Some folks don't think we ought to preach prosperity to poor countries but rather give them hand outs.
Give a man a fish, feed him for a day. Teach him to fish feed him for a lifetime.
Some of those people need to learn to give and get in line with God's plan.
You cannot be blessed without being a giver.
Those folks need to learn to give To plant To sow seed.
They need it more than some folks.
Prosperity is relevant.
It could be a Porsche in Hollywood or a jeep in Africa.
Some places it may be cattle.
But God can prosper you whenever you believe Him and become a giver. Get a liberal heart and trust God.
They may need to give a chicken or something else that is important to them.
It's not giving in the Godly sense if it has not value to you.
In a lot of cases people never get because they are never giving sacrificial.
People need to learn to give. Sometimes out of their need.
If God can prosper a man in a dungeon He can prosper you where you are.

Money is not the problem it's our value system that causes us problems.

We should look at everything relative to other people. Does it bless them? Every dollar you put into a human life, God will bless it.
Is there anything more valuable than the blood of Jesus. You can't buy a soul.
Yes! You Jesus shed His blood for you.
Many folks have died in a dark alley over crinkled pieces of paper.
It's just paper.
We should always be able and ready to help others with our goods, our money.
What is the most valuable physical possession? Your car? Boat? What? Your Body.
3. Physical possessions
Lots of folks take better care of their cars than they do their body. Just take body for granted.
They wouldn't put cheap oil in their car but put junk in their body.
If you lose your body you won't have to have a house, suit etc.
Lots of folks are sick because they break natural laws. You can't fix it with a good confession. You can't use your faith to fix it.
Lots of folks have problems because they are over weight. Have knee & hip problems.
Pot belly brings back problems.
Circulation problems because of what they eat.
You can overwork yourself. Abuse your body and God will let you. And He will let you pay the penalty. Especially if He has dealt with you about it before and you don't respond rightly.

Say I can, I'm beautiful, Spiritual, Strong, my word is good, I'm a person of integrity. I can do.

Cut out the jokes about you body. side in against your problem.
Don't claim it. Stand up against it. I have to change.
Spend a little time taking care of your body.
Quit saying what you have been saying about yourself. Start saying what the Bible says about you. You can do anything. I am handsome, I’m a leader, and I can do anything God wants me to do.
You can do anything you want to in these areas.
Take care of your body. More on it than your house or car. You need to be around for a while if The Lord should tarry.

You can check someones check book and tell who or what they put first. god wants you to have things but he doesn't want you to pursue them.
The greatest tragedy of the modern day prosperity message is that people have come away pursuing things with their faith. It's lawful but it's not His best. He can't bless you with that attitude.
There is a vast difference between God letting you do some things and god leading you.
There are things God will LET you do some things that He did not LEAD you to do
There have been times in my life when I wanted something. So I prayed about. But never got much direction from God.
I have learned to go as much by what God does not say as by what He does say.
If He doesn't say anything - drop it.
I wanted it. God you want me to do it don't you. Don't you.
You can pester God until he will let you do things. He will not bless it.
He wants you to have nice things.

Lots of folks say Oh the devil is oppressing me financially. I guarantee you that if we sit down and look through their check book and at their financial practices - they got themselves into a mess.
You have to give place to the devil.
They have made wrong decisions, priorities have been wrong, they got themselves overloaded, overextended.
God did not tell them to do it He let them because they wanted to.
a lot of times they got into a "faith quest"
We are going to believe God for these things.
God wants you to have them but He wants to add them at His time, His way. It may be months after when you wanted to jump out and pay top dollar. He can add it to you and maybe not cost you anything at all.
You may pay 18 or 20% interest on it for 5 years and then it's worn out.
You just about have it paid for, but at the same time you don't have money to give as God would lead because you have tied all of it up in your adventure.
Or you can let God add one to you. And you may not have one for 1 or 2 years while Joe has one.
But when God adds it to you it will be a blessing- it won't be a curse around your neck. It won't cause you financial problems.
You have been sowing that money that he has been paying interest on.
Seek ye First The Kingdom and things will be added to you.
There are 2 ways you can get things.
1. Covetousness & impatience - Your way.
2. Faith & Patience - God's way.
How can you get the thing that you want. The new house, car etc.
1st is God & wanting souls to be saved.
#1 All in the flesh way...
Do you want this or That? its ok. But how can you get it.
You can beg, barrow, cry & sign your life away. never have money to do anything. can't dine out, give, buy clothes.
Money problems are the #1 cause of new marriages breaking up. Puts a lot of un-needed pressure on folks.
If you find yourself in that situation. Repent, Confess to God and sell some things, move to a smaller place, get a smaller car & give more. And watch God prosper you. God won't bless your disobedience.
You can get a limited amount of success, out of the will of God. But it's rough, there is a lot of pressure.
You won't be able to have everything your flesh desires and give like you want too.
#2 The Leap of Faith way...
We will just take this step of faith. We will trust God to make the payments.
That is not the way faith works.
You may not have everything you want a first.
What you spend on yourself you cannot give.
Maybe go out and but more expensive a car than can afford. Insurance
You take GMAC's money and give it into the offering. Get behind in bills. You missed it.
You need to repent. God can get you out of any problem, but you have to get right with God first.
Quit saying God can't get me out, houses aren't selling now. Don't say that. Say mine is selling.
If you miss God sometimes it may cost you. well I'm not going to believe that. You may not have a choice.
If God is not in what you have done or are doing, He is not obligated to bless it.
If you love God you aren't trying to see how little you can get by on giving. You want to give if you love Him.
You can't have everything you want and be able to give what you want at the same time. You will have do without for a time and wait on God to get what you want to you in His time & His way.

Became a changed man. beleived God according to Mark 11:24, went out looking (not sitting at home waiting) got turned down for five mos. finally found job selling pay phones. Brent couldn't believe this was the job God had for him. Made $100,00 first year.
