Passing on Our Faith
I want to thank my Mom, Alice; and the mother of my three children, Debbie, for their living faith and sacrificial love as they impacted my life for the better—I love you both, so thank you, thank you, THANK YOU.
PASSING ON OUR FAITH
2 Timothy 1:5I am reminded of your sincere faith, a faith that dwelt first in your grandmother Lois and your mother Eunice and now, I am sure, dwells in you as well.
How do we PASS ON our FAITH?
“FAITH is CAUGHT, NOT TAUGHT”
FAITH is CAUGHT as it is BOTH
LIVED OUT and TAUGHT
FAITH is CAUGHT,
as it is BOTH SEEN and HEARD
What do we do?
LIVE OUT YOUR FAITH—it has to be seen
2 Timothy 1:5I am reminded of your sincere faith, a faith that dwelt first in your grandmother Lois and your mother Eunice and now, I am sure, dwells in you as well.
LIVE OUT YOUR FAITH

TALK ABOUT your FAITH (TEACH IT)
2 Timothy 3:14–15 — But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have firmly believed, knowing from whom you learned it 15 and how from childhood you have been acquainted with the sacred writings, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.
(ACTS 16 EUNICE) Deuteronomy 6:4–7 — 4 “Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. 5 You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. 6 And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. 7 You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise.
