Spooky Tuesday

Why Spooky Tuesday on a Weds?

EVERY DAY BELONGS TO JESUS

I dont have to be bound to celebrate or NOT celebrate a holiday based on it’s origins or even it’s associations.
Colossians 2:13–17 NLT
You were dead because of your sins and because your sinful nature was not yet cut away. Then God made you alive with Christ, for he forgave all our sins. He canceled the record of the charges against us and took it away by nailing it to the cross. In this way, he disarmed the spiritual rulers and authorities. He shamed them publicly by his victory over them on the cross. So don’t let anyone condemn you for what you eat or drink, or for not celebrating certain holy days or new moon ceremonies or Sabbaths. For these rules are only shadows of the reality yet to come. And Christ himself is that reality.
This passage specifically discusses Jesus’ victory over evil spirits and powers.
IF Halloween is a time where people do demonic things, I can CELEBRATE because Jesus overcame those very demons!
Any and every day should be focused on Jesus and aimed towards honoring Him and others. Especially in light of REDEEMING a cultural ideal.
1 Corinthians 10:26–33 NLT
For “the earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it.” If someone who isn’t a believer asks you home for dinner, accept the invitation if you want to. Eat whatever is offered to you without raising questions of conscience. (But suppose someone tells you, “This meat was offered to an idol.” Don’t eat it, out of consideration for the conscience of the one who told you. It might not be a matter of conscience for you, but it is for the other person.) For why should my freedom be limited by what someone else thinks? If I can thank God for the food and enjoy it, why should I be condemned for eating it? So whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God. Don’t give offense to Jews or Gentiles or the church of God. I, too, try to please everyone in everything I do. I don’t just do what is best for me; I do what is best for others so that many may be saved.
Halloween is the coolest..
