Just about 135 years ago the electromagnetic waves were discovered, leading to the development of radio and television and our ability now to see high definition pictures of galaxies, pictures from the surface the moon and Mars, and this streaming Mass. That’s exciting discovery.
By analogy, in our 1st reading Apostle Paul is very excited about the mystery of Christ which had been revealed to him like never before, that is the Gentiles, you and I, are coheirs in the promise God made to Israel in the Old testament, all of us together in the same Body in Jesus Christ through the Gospel. Why, so that the manifold wisdom of God might be made known through the Church, to the principalities and authorities in heavens. Made known through the Church, you and I, the Priests, Bishops and the Pope.
That’s our mission on earth, to make known the manifold wisdom of God through the Gospel of Jesus Christ, as seen by principalities and authorities in heavenly places, via their beatific vision, and angels all around us.
In the Gospels today Jesus tells us “Much will be required of the person entrusted with much, and still more will be demanded of the person entrusted with more.”
What has Lord entrusted to you? And with how much of Godly wisdom through the Gospel of Jesus Christ are you living in that trust, as seen by principalities and authorities in heavens?
