2 Samuel 4:4 (KJV)
4 And Jonathan, Saul’s son, had a son that was lame of his feet. He was five years old when the tidings came of Saul and Jonathan out of Jezreel, and his nurse took him up, and fled: and it came to pass, as she made haste to flee, that he fell, and became lame. And his name was Mephibosheth.
His Name Means: “dispeller of shame,”
1 And David said, Is there yet any that is left of the house of Saul, that I may shew him kindness for Jonathan’s sake?
Trauma: a deeply distressing or disturbing experience:
Mephibosheth: Had a Traumatic Childhood at 5 years old.
He is a Prince of Isreal
His father is in succession of being the Next King after his dad.
News gets to the palace, His grandfather the king and father where killed in battle..
Trauma 1: Death of his entire family.
Trauma 2: Fear of being next to be killed he is forced to leave the palace and run for his life.
Trauma 3: Fear produced haste and haste caused a fall that paralysed him from the waist down.
Haste: a condition of urgency making it necessary to hurry.
Trauma 4: He is secretly kept in Lodebar (Pastureless place in Gilead)
Trauma 5: His stripped of his identity
Trauma 6: The people surrounding him pretend to be for him but are actually against him.
It was his Tribe and they all where experiencing Trauma
In The street we would say game recognizes game
ANd i am here to Tell you Trauma is attracted to Trauma..

Mephibosheth was Royalty but everyone around him was incapable of calling the King out of him.
Has any one’s trauma caused them to suffer with their true identity?
what did you have to do to walk in acceptance?
2. Mephibosheth was crippled from someone falling on him. But this didn’t have to define him as a man.
Has anyone felt defined by a fall, or mistake or a sickness?
Have you ever found yourself over protective with a loved one who had some type of impairment?
3. Mephibosheth was robbed of a healthy relationship with King David at when he was a little boy because he judge the possibilities of reconciliation through the lens of fearful adults, who had no clue of the covenant between his father and David.
Has family or personal trauma robbed anyone in here of healthy relationships because of your distorted view?
