God’s Thinking Vs Man’s Thinking

Have you every done something and thought I know everything there is to know about this? So you dive in to the project head first without ever questioning the outcome of the situation. How it can change things negatively or positively.
We are very popular for doing this as Christians. We are going to be taking a look at our thinking versus Gods think. What the bible has to say on why our think is so wrong and why we should in use God’s think for everything.
First lets open in prayer.
James 3:13–18 CSB
Who among you is wise and understanding? By his good conduct he should show that his works are done in the gentleness that comes from wisdom. But if you have bitter envy and selfish ambition in your heart, don’t boast and deny the truth. Such wisdom does not come down from above but is earthly, unspiritual, demonic. For where there is envy and selfish ambition, there is disorder and every evil practice. But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peace-loving, gentle, compliant, full of mercy and good fruits, unwavering, without pretense. And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who cultivate peace.
First lets talk about Our’s way of thinking.

Our’s Thinking

I love when we talk about the way we chose to think, The first thing we as Christians always do is try to justify the way we are thinking is a way that serves God. When in reality everything that we do is out of selfish ambition. See it is this manner of think that got us in the place that we are in wither is it
a place of complacence
a place of pain
a place of laziness
a place where our Eyes aren’t on God
There is a number of things that we say here about of thinking. but lets turn to the bible and see what it is saying.
Isaiah 1:3 CSB
The ox knows its owner, and the donkey its master’s feeding trough, but Israel does not know; my people do not understand.”
See here we see this and see that we are a selfish group of people that chose to do things our way. It is always the me and I thinking that causes us to be where we are.
If God would just do this or if God would just do that I would. We try to make comprises with God. Rather than know our master.
Instead of trying to tell God how to be God maybe we should try to examine our hearts.
James 3:14–16 CSB
But if you have bitter envy and selfish ambition in your heart, don’t boast and deny the truth. Such wisdom does not come down from above but is earthly, unspiritual, demonic. For where there is envy and selfish ambition, there is disorder and every evil practice.
Notice what it is saying here if you hold on to bitterness and selfish ambition. It doesn't matter what you think you know your wisdom becomes clouded by Sin. What gain is there in your life if you can’t even think clearly without your judgement being blocked by negativeness.
When we look at God’s Thinking we see so much that comes to us.

God’s Thinking

James 3:17–18 CSB
But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peace-loving, gentle, compliant, full of mercy and good fruits, unwavering, without pretense. And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who cultivate peace.
Pure- There is no evil or evil intentions.
Peace-loving - There is always love and compassion shown throughout it
Gentle- Always slow to speak and slow to act
Compliant- Always follows the Commandments/Laws of the land (P: God’s First)
Full of Mercy and Good Fruit- There is always a sense of salvation in it whether being Grateful of receiving it.
Unwavering- It never strays from the path of following Christ.
Without pretense- God’s Thinking does not need more information to be justified.
When you look at this it crazy to think about everything you do and see does my thought match these thoughts because if they do not maybe not it is time to figure it out.
Maybe it is time to question what kind of God do you serve.

Who do you serve.

Do you serve the God that fits in to all of these areas or Do you serve the God of your self an live in a sense of always looking for happiness.
Now is the time for self reflection and time to spend with God.
