Revive

Revive is the final R that is in the three Rs. When looking at this theme there are a bunch of things that we can go into when thinking about the word revive.
We could point it in to the direction when Jesus revive Lazarus from the dead, We could look at the type of revive when the Israelite had to come back to God after straying the many time they did.
Tonight we are going to focus more inward. What is it that needs to be revived in our lives? everyone can have something that is different but most will fall in the same categories.
You might need revival in your walk with God. Maybe you need the aspect of your life where you need to trusting again. or there is some kind of suffering that is happening in your life that is cause pain or doubt.
This is the type of revival that we will be talking about this evening.
By now we can all agree that we all have some kind of suffering that is going on in our lives. Whenever this suffering happens in our live rather then turn to God we tend to turn away from God and ask questions like why is God doing this to be?
Or we like to play the blame game and start to blame God that it is all his fault. “ If i wasn’t a Christian this wouldn’t happen” When in realty that is not the God we serve. Our God doesn’t give evil and we see this in scriptures.
James 1:13–15 CSB
No one undergoing a trial should say, “I am being tempted by God,” since God is not tempted by evil, and he himself doesn’t tempt anyone. But each person is tempted when he is drawn away and enticed by his own evil desire. Then after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin, and when sin is fully grown, it gives birth to death.
The Big Take way from this is simple

God Doesn’t Produce Evil

This is one of the hardest things for us as Christ followers to understand it doesn’t matter where you are in your walk in Christ at some point in time you will feel that God is cause bad in your life. As we read here though we cannot have that type of thinking because Our God came to save us not destroy us. As we see towards to the end of our verses It is our personal Desires that cause us to stumble and stray away from us.
This is where that revival needs to come in we cannot be the Christians that pray and praise on Sundays but curses and hates God Monday- Thursday.
We are a hurting group of people and when we can accept that and start to use that just as Christ did we will Start to grow and be the Group of people that Show everyone who our Jesus really is.
What type of God do we serve do you know? Lets continue a couple more verses in James that says Exactly the God we serve and love.
James 1:16–18 CSB
Don’t be deceived, my dear brothers and sisters. Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, who does not change like shifting shadows. By his own choice, he gave us birth by the word of truth so that we would be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures.

We Are His Choice

Every good and perfect thing comes from God. We see that but there is something else in this passage that I would like us to focus. I want us to focus on verse 18 of the passage . The first four words are by his choice, he gave birth to us. This is so important for us to enter that form of revive that we need in our lives.
Sin comes into our lives and start form this self doubt and pain in our lives to the point of unbearable portions. We start to put these walls up and refuse to come here to be broken and hurt.
The thing is it doesn’t matter how hurt you are or broken you are , You are Gods choice . He chose to create you just imagine that kind of love . He choice to create you and then when you died because of your sin he chose you again to live by giving Christ to us.
I can tell you a greater love and greater want to be closer then that.
Whatever is going on in your life now is the time to come to God and let is go and move past it he wants that revival. God is calling do you answer it or do you always question who you are? When the answer is in front of you.
