-Met Jesus when I was 19 between my Freshman and Sophomore years of college
-Passionate about creating a culture that connects people to the radical hope and healing of Jesus Christ.

“Daybreak Young Adults is a community created to provide a home for the young adults of North County San Diego to experience the radical hope and healing of Jesus Christ. We strive to create a culture centered around a personal relationship with God, community integrated into the simplicity of day to day life, and missional living in our own circles of influence.”

-Series all about how we respond in life when the fight calls.
7 For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline.
-The question then is, “How do we as citizens of God’s Kingdom respond to what is happening in our world today?”
-I believe that we as Christians have a great responsibility and opportunity to change the world because of how much is changing in our world.
-Tonight we are going to look at the greatest fight ever and how we can use it as a blue print to respond in the midst of this global pandemic, a crazy election season, a battle for social justice, and our day to day struggles.

33 And Saul said to David, “You are not able to go against this Philistine to fight with him, for you are but a youth, and he has been a man of war from his youth.”
-Avoiding your problems does not make them disappear.
-The longer we sit in fear, allowing our fears to rule over us, the deeper we fall into shame.
-Facing your fear requires boldness. There is no easy way out of life’s heartache and hardships.
-We can have confidence to face our fear because we aren’t doing alone.
34 But David said to Saul, “Your servant used to keep sheep for his father. And when there came a lion, or a bear, and took a lamb from the flock, 35 I went after him and struck him and delivered it out of his mouth. And if he arose against me, I caught him by his beard and struck him and killed him. 36 Your servant has struck down both lions and bears, and this uncircumcised Philistine shall be like one of them, for he has defied the armies of the living God.” 37 And David said, “The Lord who delivered me from the paw of the lion and from the paw of the bear will deliver me from the hand of this Philistine.” And Saul said to David, “Go, and the Lord be with you!”
-You are not David, you are Saul.
-The battle is not yours to win.

38 Then Saul dressed David in his own tunic. He put a coat of armor on him and a bronze helmet on his head. 39 David fastened on his sword over the tunic and tried walking around, because he was not used to them.
“I cannot go in these,” he said to Saul, “because I am not used to them.” So he took them off.
-Don’t put God in box and tell Him how to solve your problems.
-Give yourself permission to not be the savior of the world, because there already is one and HE has already won the battle.
-Application to corona, election, social justice.
3 “Blessed are the poor in spirit,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
4 Blessed are those who mourn,
for they will be comforted.
5 Blessed are the meek,
for they will inherit the earth.
6 Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness,
for they will be filled.
7 Blessed are the merciful,
for they will be shown mercy.
8 Blessed are the pure in heart,
for they will see God.
9 Blessed are the peacemakers,
for they will be called children of God.
10 Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

50 So David triumphed over the Philistine with a sling and a stone; without a sword in his hand he struck down the Philistine and killed him.
51 David ran and stood over him. He took hold of the Philistine’s sword and drew it from the sheath. After he killed him, he cut off his head with the sword.
When the Philistines saw that their hero was dead, they turned and ran. 52 Then the men of Israel and Judah surged forward with a shout and pursued the Philistines to the entrance of Gath and to the gates of Ekron. Their dead were strewn along the Shaaraim road to Gath and Ekron.
-Take your victory and run free!
-The best part about experiencing victory in Christ is the freedom it gives to those around you.
-When you charge in the victory of Christ, you create an opportunity for others to experience victory in their life.
-It’s not your job to win the battle but it is your honor to proclaim your victory.
