Five gospel blessings:

1) We bless the Lord for his forgiveness.

Judicial forgiveness (The Psalmist & ours)

Parental forgiveness (The Psalmist & ours)

2) We bless the Lord for his tender care.

Personally (The Psalmist & ours)

corporately (Israel & Ours)

3) We Bless the Lord for his redemption in Christ.

Israels redemption from slavery

Ours slavery in sin

4) We bless the Lord for his steadfast Love.

The Psalmist

The Church

5) We bless the Lord for he is good and does good.

Faith looks to the future for a God who always keeps his promises.
