The Struggle is Real

Before we go forward, I want to deal with something in the past.
Genesis 25:21–22 NKJV
21 Now Isaac pleaded with the Lord for his wife, because she was barren; and the Lord granted his plea, and Rebekah his wife conceived. 22 But the children struggled together within her; and she said, “If all is well, why am I like this?” So she went to inquire of the Lord.
A. The children struggled together within her.
There was a struggle within her.
a. The struggle was a foretelling
b. she had a fight going on inside of her that no one knew about.
c. no person had an answer.
*Did you ever have a struggle within that no one else understood?
She asked, Why am I like this?
*It’s not like she knew how twins would respond in her.
They didn’t have human, growth, and development, she didn’t have a chance to go to the doctor, she couldn’t get a sonogram or an ultrasound.
-She had to inquire of the Lord
Genesis 25:23 NKJV
23 And the Lord said to her: “Two nations are in your womb, Two peoples shall be separated from your body; One people shall be stronger than the other, And the older shall serve the younger.”
2. Two nations
-One nation represents mans’ desire: Esau wanted food over his own birth rite.
the other nation represents the promise
a. The fight inside of her was bigger than the life she had to live.
b. The struggle made her uncomfortable
I came by to tell somebody today that the struggle is real.
There’s something going on inside of you and it’s uncomfortable, it’s a struggle and you might be tired of going through this pain, this frustration, this torment, this irritation, this annoyance, but it’s time for you to inquire of the Lord, It’s time for you to seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness…and all these things shall be added to you.
We love to see the miracles of God performed, but we don’t want to see the struggle.
We want the promises of God, without the persecution
We want the open heavens, but get rid of the obstacles.
If we love to see miracles, we should embrace the hardship.
Now I have a big problem, I fell in love with miracles...
It’s seeing God move for me…It’s the making a way for me… over and over for me.
But in order for me to love the miracles of God, I have to also love the struggle that comes before the miracle can take place.
James 1:2–3 NKJV
2 My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, 3 knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience.
Trials look different to me now, because I know with trials(struggle) that my faith is being built.
James 1:12 NKJV
12 Blessed is the man who endures temptation; for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him.
We can’t have the crown without the struggle.
*You have a God sized promise, and the only thing that you need is a God sized answer.
There are nations in me
There’s some creative ideas in me
There’s multi-million dollar businesses in me
There’s greatness in me
There’s a promise in me
