Your faith must stand trial

When Abraham was called to sacrifice his only son Isaac, his faith was on trial (Gen 22:1-24).
There is a foreshadowing of Christ in the sacrifice of Isaac
Isaac like Christ is an heir with a promise tied to him; both do not fight death but submit
Christianity is a relational belief system with a theocratic God that intervenes in the
unfolding history. Eschatological history explains how all world ages will close

Seeing Joy in Trouble

This is easy to do if you are aligned with God’s word (Isaiah 54:15-17; James 1:2 )

All the props on the stage are God’s

Plato’s allegory of the cave lends credence to what the gospel is designed to do in revealing salvation to man. His allegory is intended to illuminate the advantages of education, shadowy reality vs the enlightened mind, and the anger that can be stirred among people who feel new perspectives are the enemy. forced upon them for immediate response. The new perspective of what is happening outside of the cave may be true and beneficial; however, the peoples ability to perceive it need a step by step approach. Joshua and Caleb failed to overthrow the view of the other spies and it cost them 40 years. In some neighborhood in America there may be hostility and violence, and a few zip codes away there is peace and tranquility.

The Matrix

The computer programmer NEO, learns that his reality is computer generated, and subsequently joins other humans who have discovered this truth and together they work in rebellion. There is another reality behind what we see. When I was at Western Ave a police officer challenged me to physical confrontation while I was in my clergy collar. That had to be Satan.

Speaking of another reality

If you ask me about my experiences as an African American I can share them, but I live out of the reality of God. Have I ever been negatively approached by the police, sadly of course the answer is yes.

God is the puppet master to all the props on the stage of life

We have free will and are not props on the stage but are made in God’s image and have access to the status of the sons of God. Alignment with God’s truth (the Scripture), finding worth-ship in His revelation of Jesus, and placing faith in the gospel when the grace of God reveals this result in a willing servant. This person submits to the Word of God. (Isaiah 54:15-17).
