Big Idea:

Other Ideas/Notes:

“Worthy” is not merit, but fitness. Matt Conti is fit. He may have no officially run races or continuously post runs that he accomplishes. But dude can bust out a fast run because he is “worthy” or “fit.”
God’s lack of immediate judgment is love and patience, not slack. God will take care of it. We don’t necessarily seek revenge, but our heart is God’s giving this person time. Remember, you and I don’t deserve forgiveness any more than the criminal. People don’t go to hell because they are worse than others. They go because they are unwilling to accept the forgiveness of Jesus.

What should Christians who are in the will of God do when they go through painful testing and trial? They should: (1) thank God for His salvation and that He is with them; (2) surrender to the will of God without complaining; (3) ask God to give wisdom to understand His will; (4) watch for opportunities to witness and glorify God in the situation; (5) wait patiently until God’s purposes have been fulfilled. Of course, if we are out of the will of God and trouble comes (and it will!), we must accept His chastening hand.

Key theme according to Wiersbe: We can rest. God’s got this, no matter how chaotic!
