The Basics of the Church in Two Verses (Acts 2:41-42) Then those who gladly received his word were baptized; and that day about three thousand souls were added to them. 42 And they continued steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers. 41 1. Belief in the Word ( ___________________________ ) Believe in Jesus, God’s Son who took on flesh, died in our place to pay for our sins, and rose from the dead. • 38 “Repent…” • 40 “Be saved from this perverse generation.” • 41 “…those who gladly received his word…” • 44 “Now all who believed…” • 47 “…those who were being saved.” b.
