Matthew 5:27-28

Psalm 139:23-24, “Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. Point out anything in me that offends you, and lead me along the path of everlasting life.”

Mathew 5:27-28, “You've heard it said, ‘You shall not commit adultery.’ But I tell you anyone who looks lustfully at a woman has already committed adultery with her in his heart.”

Colossians 3:5 says, “Put to death, therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed, which is idolatry.”

THE TRAP OF LUST

James 1:14-15, “Temptation comes from our own desires, which entice us and drag us away. These desires give birth to sinful actions. And sin, when it is allowed to grow, gives birth to death.”

Deleazo; to entrap, allure, entice, hook.

HOW DO WE GET ENTRAPPED?

1.) We Are Exposed To Something Lustful.

2.) Our Mind Is Injured.

3.) We Are Confused By What We Feel.

HOW DO WE FIND FREEDOM?

1.) Protect The Wound.

Psalm 119:9, “How can a young man keep his way pure? By guarding it according to your word.”

Matthew 5:29

1 Corinthians 6:18, “Flee from sexual immorality.”

2.) Pursue God & Holiness.

Ephesians 4:18-19
