Luke 8:22–25 NIV84
22 One day Jesus said to his disciples, “Let’s go over to the other side of the lake.” So they got into a boat and set out. 23 As they sailed, he fell asleep. A squall came down on the lake, so that the boat was being swamped, and they were in great danger. 24 The disciples went and woke him, saying, “Master, Master, we’re going to drown!” He got up and rebuked the wind and the raging waters; the storm subsided, and all was calm. 25 “Where is your faith?” he asked his disciples. In fear and amazement they asked one another, “Who is this? He commands even the winds and the water, and they obey him.”

1. Your destiny will cause storms

The bigger your destiny, the bigger the storms
Storms are not meant to destroy you, they build you
Storms are not meant to discourage you, they encourage you
Storms are not meant to kill you, they bring life
Storms are not mean to keep you back, they remove what holds you back

2. Commit to get to the other side

You don’t know your faith until your commitment is challenged
The worst thing you can do is to jump ship when the storm comes
Your commitment should be the point of no return
Commitment is a one way ticket—get there or die trying
Don’t go to those that encourage you to quit
Go to the Father—He will never leave you nor forsake you

3. Faith, never leave home without it

When in a storm, remember your faith
If you haven’t been through a storm, keep living and keep the faith
The disciples forgot their faith
Jesus was asleep because His faith was in the Father
Remember you are a member of God’s family—He is your Father
Faith, membership has its privileges

4. Your faith is defined in the storm

Job endured many adversities but never lost faith in God
Abraham was certain that God would bring his boy back to life
Joseph was not willing to sin for pleasure
Jesus was asleep, He was confident
Jesus asked the disciples, “Where is your faith?”
Don’t let the size of the giant determine your faith
Don’t let storms keep you from the other side
Don’t let the pandemic keep you from the other side

5. The miracle is on the other side of the storm

Jesus knows what you are going through
Jesus still has authority over the elements
Jesus has authority over sicknesses
Jesus has authority over viruses
Jesus has authority over pandemics, epidemics, storms, and everything
We need faith for the other side
Your miracle is on the other side of this pandemic
Where is your faith?
Jesus said, “Have faith in God”
