Pastor Kevin McAnulty continues his series of You Are Marked part 12: Absalom - Rejection of Authority and entering into Idolatry. He speaks about restraint , and the lack of it cause the people to perish. He speaks about how Absalom was narcissistic, and under cut David’s authority when he would stand at the gates- the places of judgement. This caused people to move to Absalom’s side, and he eventually took over the Kingdom. This was never supposed to happen. There was never a submission to David as king, especially after the rape of Tamar by Ammon.
