And just as we've met together to worship this morning. We're going to meet together to fellowship at this time and take that moment also to press that share button and whatever platform you happen to be watching from but we thank you for joining us on this Sunday morning live stream with Broomfield Baptist Church.

Aren't you glad that Jesus loves even someone like while I was going to say Me. Maybe you can be glad that Jesus loves me, but you can say it about yourself be glad if we're going to sing now how Jesus loves even me. I am so glad that our father this is the dearest. Jesus loves to eat. I am so glad that Jesus Loves Me Jesus Loves Me. Jesus loves me.

I forget him and wander back to remember that Jesus Loves Me Jesus Loves Me Jesus Loves Me Jesus Loves Me. Jesus loves me. If there's only one song. I can see his Beauty Reiki this shall my song an eternity V Kansas Loves Me. Jesus loves me. I am so glad that Jesus loves me.

And thinking about the words of that song. We just sang it reminds me of what Paul the Paul the Apostle said about himself and calling himself the chief of Sinners and sometimes in my own heart. I thought to myself, you know, I guess I'm just something I've just been this big great sinner before the eyes of God, but no thank God that he died for us while we were yet sinners and said that brother Mike here. It is able now in accepting Jesus Christ sacrifice and accepting his love and his gift of Salvation that I am he knows if I were righteous and thankfully I have that standing now in the eyes of God and we trust and pray can others will accept that free gift of Salvation through these live streams. So again, thank you for joining us for this Sunday morning live stream, and we just want to make you aware of some things that are going on. Of course, you may be seen by now that we're experimenting with New avenues of fellowship with her reinvigorating of our Sunday circles time and we have information that on slides before and after the service and a we have some people who have taken it upon themselves to make sure that that runs that starts at 9 a.m. Before the Sunday morning services. So if you want to be a part of that reach out to us and we'll make sure that you're connected with that information. We also have a newsletter that we're trying to get out now, which will also get you more up-to-date about things that perhaps we're not going to mention here. One thing as someone who is involved with the music that I do want to let you know about that. At least now, I require is aware of at this point is we're trying to do what some would call a virtual choir and so those who have already received those notifications have a general idea what that involves. It's basically putting a whole bunch of your faces together in a video having you all sing to Heather and calling out a choir and so we hope to do something that's kind of like that. You know, we always joke about how you know, we're just nothing more than an ensemble really, but I still like to use the word choir the but in addition to having the choir itself involve those who have sung with the choir. Perhaps somewhat recently. Maybe you feel like you have a gift that you want to give back to the Lord in singing and maybe you haven't joined through other means and singing physically together with us, but we want to give you the opportunity maybe with your phone camera or something else. I'll have further instructions that will come if you're interested. But if you want to give back to the Lord in that way, then I can send you some information. You can contact me at song leader at Broomfield baptist.org that song leader at Broomfield baptist.org and I can get you connected with all the information that have available cancer. How we're actually going to run that. So, please please let me know. I'm excited to be able to do that and I were hoping to debut that for our final service this month June 28th, and I'm even if you're not involved with that that is something to be looking forward to in a we've missed seeing together as a choir and this is an opportunity to sing together again, and so if you want to be involved with that again, you have buy a contact information and you can send me an email and I will connect you with that information. Not this time. We also want to open up our service in a word of prayer and just as we said at the beginning of a service it in our desire to want to worship together to pray together and to hear the word of God preach. We want the prey to make sure that the spirit of the Holy One does get involved with what we're doing and you may be heard me say it before that that really should kind of be twisted the other way around a really we should be on God's side and hoping that we are apart of what God is doing. So let's tune our hearts right now to make sure that we are in the right place to make sure that God can do exactly what God wants to do through this service. Would you pray? Lord we thank you for this wonderful opportunity that we have we are grateful for the technology that helps us to be able to connect and to Fellowship together to be able to still have Avenues of ministry. Lord through all of these things and I've said it before Lord. I know that your hands are not bound by the circumstances that were in and it even makes me think that that Lord. This is a greater opportunity that in our weakness that in our just going through these circumstances where we're just we're just not entirely sure what's going to happen or what to do for house in some cases that lured you can step into those circumstances and you can show yourself to be Mighty and strong and on our behalf and do things that we could never think or ask as a result of just-in-time intervening in the survey the situation that were in and Lord we just do pray for the preaching of your word is It Goes Forth later. And we we need your Holy Spirit Lord. Would you fill us with your power and help us to be able to serve you in a way that's going to honor you help us Lord. Whoever is listening to this stream that the that part would be in tune with you that the soil of that person's heart will be ready and prepared to receive Lord by your Holy Spirit even do that work right now in the heart of of any individual Lord who you want to do a special working and Shirley want to do a working in all of our hearts. So we asked you to be a part of our service today and help us Lord to join you and what you hope to do through the service this morning and we give ourselves to you now and this way and we are I pray ready to receive what you have for us. We ask in Jesus name. Amen.

Love Lifted Me Again. We thank the Lord for his provision of salvation for us. And as we prepare our hearts even further now to receive from the word of God. Our prayer hopefully is this song or about to sing open my eyes that I may see?

Open my place in my house silent We Now by weight or the ready to see me.

Turn my desk and Wild Everything Falls Wilton friendly know I wait for thee my God, I will be.

We're privileged again to have brother Robert Hansard lead us in our scripture reading this morning. So this time he'll come and he'll lead us in that.

Today's scripture reading be in John chapter 13 verse 12 to 20. That records merch 12. So after he had wash their feet and a taken his garments and was set down again, you said unto them know you would I have done to you you call me master and Lord and you say well for so I am if I then your Lord and Master have washed your feet. He also want to wash one another's feet per I have given you an example that you should do as I've done to you verily verily I say unto you the servant is not greater than his Lord now there he that is sent greater than he that sent him. If you know these things happy are you if you do them I speak not of you all. I know whom I have chosen, but at the scripture may be fulfilled. He that eateth bread with me has lifted up his heel against me. Now. I tell you before it comes at when it has come to pass. You may believe that I am he Verily verily I say unto you he that receiveth whomsoever Irish send receive with me and he that receiveth me receiveth him that sent me. We know the Lord will bless the reading of his word. Thank you.

Lord I must be going

She's my pride and joy.

My life on here my stay.

What a great truth and song Amen Lord. I must be yours. Thank you for the mic for that uplifting and encouraging message in music. Take your Bible and join us now for our time and God's word. I invite you to turn with me to the book of Galatians. Once again chapter number 6 Galatians chapter number 6 while you're finding your place. Let me recount to you a story about a another Pastor one time that towards the close of his sermon. He brought a powerful and dramatic illustration in an allusion to some well-known place are certain blasting was to be carried out in the story went like this pastor closed and he began to say the rock is tunneled deep under the solid mass is over which men walk with such careless security. There are now late trains of explosive powder. It all seems so safe and firm outwardly. It's hardly possible to imagine that those solid masses will ever be shaken. But the time will come when I hide a spark will fire the whole train and the mountain will be in a moment rent in the air and torn to Adams. He went on to say based off that illustration. This pastor did that there are men. He said looking around at those that were in the room with him. There are men here who are tunneled. They are mine. And their time will come not today or tomorrow not for months, maybe even years perhaps but it'll come in a moment from some unforeseen quarter a trifling incident. Their reputations will be blown to atoms and what they have sown, they will reap there's no Dynamite like lust and passion. This pastor went on to say In chapter number 5 of The Book of Galatians Paul describe the nature of the spirit controlled life of the one who would walk in the spirit and not fulfill the lust of the Flesh. And so what does it look like to follow that through in your Christian walk with the Lord you're in Galatians look with me chapter number 6 beginning inverse number 1 some I believe neglected verses of scripture of holy writ, but not so neglected as we might sink as there have been entire books written just on this passage. I think of one in particular that is the title just right from these verses restore such an one and that's a that's a great book. If you ever want a good encouraging read sometime. I look that up and pick that up Galatians chapter number 6 beginning in verse number one brethren. if a man be overtaken in a fault Ye which are spiritual restore such an one in the spirit of meekness considering myself lest thou also be tempted bear one another's burdens and so fulfill the law of Christ for if a man think himself to be something when he is nothing he deceives himself, but let every man through his own work and then shall he have rejoiced singing in himself alone and not in another for every man shall bear his own burden you're listening to the service has the Broomfield Baptist Church watching along with us there at home or wherever you may be in this is the pastor bring in the Sunday morning message. I've simply intitle today when a nobody thinks he's somebody or when a nothing thinks he's something how do we handle that? Would you pray with me as we begin our gracious? Heavenly father? I pray that you would take your Open our hearts as we saying earlier open my eyes that I may behold wondrous things out of that law O Lord. I pray that your word would be that which is the hammer that breaks the Rock in pieces today. I pray that you would cause each one that hears the sound of my voice to consider themselves to consider their relationship with you no matter how long they walk with you or if they have yet to begin that Journey Lord, they can begin today through Jesus Christ if they'll just be saved, but for those that have been saved and some possibly listening saved for many many years. I pray Lord that this would be a ReSound and Cole to each of us myself included to not think of ourselves more highly than we ought to think but to think humbly and to remember the meekness of our savior considering others Lord, may we be a help not a hindrance to the cause in the furtherance of the Gospel. May we learn what it means through our time today? To uphold the household of face in a powerful way Lord. I pray that your word would Prevail that it would be that which encourages us to grow in the grace and knowledge of our Saviour Jesus Christ and his precious name. I do pray. Amen. Amen. Paul says in chapter 5 of Galatians if we'll walk in the spirit will not fulfill the lust of the flesh to walk in. The spirit would be the same as to be led by the spirit to be filled with the spirit. I was in a service one time for my pastor was preaching in and he went to Romans chapter number 6 and was talking about yielding to the Holy Spirit and you made a comment that is stuck with me about the filling of the Holy Spirit. Maybe you've heard something similar along these lines from another pasture or another message you've heard or maybe just as your study of the scriptures, but he encouraged me that day because he reminded me when we get saved we have all of the holy spirit that God ever intends to give to us and we believe the scriptures teach that if you have not the spirit of God, you are none of his to Bible teaches enrollments. And so what is it mean to be filled with the spirit? It doesn't mean to get more of him. It simply means that he has more of us and this is where the concept of yieldedness comes into place. And so how much are we yielded to the spirit of God in our life will Kerman weather we are led by the spirit or not. And so people respond in different ways to the leading in the prompting of the Holy Spirit, but how we respond determines whether we quench him or whether we grieve him and he is a person as as opposed to what the Jehovah's Witnesses my teeth. They teach that the holy spirit is simply a four-strand the Bible teaches that the holy spirit is a person who can be grieved and who can be quenched and if we're saved he lives in us and he is that that part of God guides Us in the person of God that leads us as Jesus Christ went away expediently for us so that we might have the spirit and so the spirit Works in various ways and everyone is different and everybody has their own burdens to carry us will look at here in this passage, but the stories often been told about the message of the founder of the Salvation Army, maybe you've heard this as well to their International Convention. They were having one time it was Jen. William Booth and he wasn't able to come some have said because of his illness or an illness in his body others have said it was because his schedule was too busy. I don't know the details on that but for whatever reason he was not able to attend this conference this convention and so he cabled the delegates cuz that's how you doing that day. You couldn't, you know send a tweeter in Oppo somebody on Facebook you had to actually go down to the to the to the to the office and send a cable out to somebody to get a message across and boy how is technology grown since then? He cabled his delegates a message and the cable contained one word with an! It said capital O capital T capital h capital e capital r capital S others. That was the message that he wanted to get across for the convention. I think about the history of the Salvation Army and they were founded on trying to help others. Were they not and so there's a popular comic strip that It may be used to read peanuts or you like to read the Charlie Brown comics and there's one where Lucy ask Charlie Brown. Why are we here on Earth Charlie Brown and a he replies to make others happy and then a Lucy Ponder's it for a minute. Maybe you can see her, you know thinking this over and then she asked Charlie will then why are others here? That's a good question if we're thinking about others and how to help others, you know, if we're going to serve God moreover. It is required of stewards that a man be found faithful get a steward be found faithful. Let me illustrate this for you by sharing with you some things about faithful stewardship the faithfulness of a steward consists in his dispensing to the household has been committed to him. Are you faithful to the household polls going to right here about taking care of the household of faith doing good to all men but especially them. The household of faith and so as a steward we are committed and entrusted with god with certain things that we are to commit to the household and it's exactly what's been committed to us. We're just Stewart's in the faithfulness of a witness all of us who are saved are called to witness for Christ. He said go ye into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature and so every Christian is a witness and they are the witness for Christ the faithfulness of a witness lies and his declaring with honesty with Candor exactly what he knows neither concealing part of the truth nor distorting it nor embellishing it and it isn't it. So easy sometimes to exaggerate to give others the impression that maybe we progressed further along the narrow way then we really have We have to be honest and confess the truth. And I've said this before those that have been around it heard me say this honesty is telling the truth Integrity is telling the truth even when it hurts and so can we walk with Integrity? We shouldn't be afraid to say with the Apostle not as though I'd already attained or were already perfect Philippians 3:12 tells us that the truth. This is devoid of any suspicion of hypocrisy. He's transparently sincere think about where we've been studying in Galatians recently and what I shared with you about Paul and how he confronted Peter and his two pieocracy. And so let that ReSound with you about our witness needing to be true and needing to be one that is that is devoid of any suspicion of hypocrisy in oldest lays upon us who are called to be Witnesses of Christ the solid amount obligation to take he to ourselves and not to neglect the culture of our own soul. The growth of our own soul lest we become dumb Witnesses and have nothing to say. And isn't that what the devil wants to stop our mouths to devour those that would follow Christ truly the apostles were right to give themselves to prayer and to the ministry of the word for preaching without prayer is an empty mockery and we should say Amen to that. There's no greater need for the preachers than that. He should know God. And I care not about his lack of eloquence or Artistry. This writer said about his ill constructed discourse or is poorly enunciated message. If only it is evident that God is a reality to him and that he has some learned to abide in Christ. To print the preparation of the heart that is a far greater importance than the preparation of the sermon and you can go through all of the mechanics you can get all the nuts and bolts and Blake brandes if you never do business with God and you never get the power from on high it'll be nothing more than stagnant mana and sadly as a preacher over these past years I speak from experience there been times when the burden of time has been upon me and I've given a message but could it possibly have been stagnant man? I don't know. I'll find out when I get to heaven. I I pray not so but I also know that I'm not above scrutiny in this matter as well. And so as we think about in all the sermons which we try to lay for that might might, you know fall in line with the best homiletical rules or near try to get everything in place with all the points where they need to be and make our point and call people to action print that is all just mechanics without the power in the movie. The spirit of God and so if you don't hear anything else from this message, are you walking filled with the Holy Spirit? Have you connected with Heaven on that point this God leads you just God guide. So as we approach this sermon as we look at this message from the word of God, we can we can lift these things up. But some how does it impact our heart. Does it make it past our head? Does it sink deep within us? It cannot be said as a young clerk in a dry goods store wants about Peter Marshall. He seems to know God and he helps me to know him better. Can we say that about our lives? Do we seem to know God do we help those who would come under underarms are shepherding in a sense those that we have influence in our own lives. Do we help them to know God better? As we look at these first 5 verses this morning with anticipation of looking at the the remaining verses 6 through 10 later on today Lord willing. I want to encourage you with the thought of upholding the household of faith because that's I think on Paul's heart in a big way here. How can we as followers of Christ? Not big not get caught up in putting people under undue burden, but notice the burdens that they are under and then also be aware of the burdens that we are to carry as our own burdens do this to uphold the household a face by bearing burdens and buy sewing in the spirit. Spirit-filled Spirit Led Believers Leopold the Household of Faith by bearing burdens bearing the burdens of others as well as bearing our own burdens by showing in the spirit by having Fellowship that is centered around the word of God the word going for the word going out fellowship and unity bound together around that the Holy Spirit and then sewing in the spirit by Wale doing till Jesus comes How can we do this and not grow weary in well-doing? And so I hope to encourage you with all of those aspects today, but let me remind you that it's important what we do not know FB Meyer. He wants said that when we see a brother or sister and sand there are three things that we do not know. He said first we do not know how hard or she he or she has tried not to send we have no idea how hard the battle has been for them to come against this temptation or where this trespass that they have now come into. Secondly. He said we do not know the power of the forces that assailed him or her And thirdly we also do not know what we would have done and the same circumstances. I read some time ago James 5 19 and 20 and I'll read them again today for you because these are powerful words James as a pad with a pastor's heart closing his letter tremendous letter five chapters, and I preached study threat to do to the same on a regular basis more than once. Yes. Absolutely. The Book of James never gets old in my Christian walk so much there that I need to learn and relearn and be reminded up any closes this powerful letter by saying brethren. If any of you do her from the truth and one convert him, let him know that he was converted The Sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death and shall hide a multitude of sins old let that ReSound in our hearts as we keep in mind the next time we see somebody that has stumbled in their Christian walk. Let me just set the stage here because there was only one, Terry and I know I have a long way to go have not consulted everything that everybody is written on this passage and I probably missed somewhere somewhere someone along the line that is going to reference when I'm referencing and I'm always leery when I'm the first one to think of something and I can't find it somewhere in a commentary because I am I stepping out on a limb here. I don't think I am because I was taught when I study the scriptures that context is King and if I take the book of Galatians and its entirety context draws my mind back to where we just spend some time and chat. The number to with Paul and Peter and Barnabas and others that does simulated with Peter and all through this passage. Maybe maybe Paul is just getting some general precepts here and some general principles and he's just going to line them out, you know bullet point after bullet point do this do this do this do this, but my mind cannot separate what he has already said about Peter and so when Paul talks about a man being overtaken in a fault, I think we have a living illustration in the book itself and we have the witness of Paul himself seeking to restore restoring Peter perhaps. I think there's a good argument for that restoring Barnabas perhaps yet. I think there could be good argument for that as well. And so these words should not be dissociated from all that came before them. And I build on our time that we've had together looking at how Paul confronted Peter and when a good man stumbles what Do we we see something we say something posted up and he said something and I'll tell you I've had so much joy in my study coming to these verses but if you want a passage to do word studies on Galatians 6:1 through 10 will keep you busy for a lifetime. There's so much here that we can Dell through the words and and I could just come and share with you with all the words mean when you look them up and and that would be an encouragement Forest. I'll try to hit it hit as many of them as I feel is necessary as we go through today, but I don't want to get distracted from the main the main message and so notice first with me here as we begin this morning that we are to be working together towards restoration to this Freedom we have in Christ and I go back to chapter 2 and verse number for where these Jews had come in a privilege and they were coming to spy out our Liberty in Christ. And Paul has argued in chapter 5 verse number one Stand Fast therefore in the Liberty. Wherewith Christ has made. Freaks be not entangled again with the Yoke of bondage. How do we work together? As followers of Christ toward restoration to freedom in Jesus Christ back to that Liberty that saved us and set us free now. Can we walk in that Liberty walk in that freedom polls going to argue. I think first that will do that as we bear other's burdens bearing one another's burdens and so fulfill the law of Christ. How do we bury these burdens first? It's going to take a gentle restoration verse number one of Galatians 6 note every word very carefully Brethren that'll tell us something. If a man that too will tell us something be overtaken that also tells us something in a fault that too will teaches you which are spiritual that also gives us great lessons restore such an one in the spirit of meekness this to helps us learn of Christ considering thyself. Yes toll thank you for the reminder. Blessed thou also be tempted breaking his first down one word at a time to be overtaking. It has the idea to be overtaken by surprise to overpower before someone can escape the the overtaken in a fault. This would be a false step a transgression the results of stepping aside. It may have been chosen because of its appropriateness to the Christian Life as a walk by the spirit walking in the spirit. And so if we're walking in the spirit, there might come a time where we stumble where we where we lapse in our transgression. We step over the line This is a pair of Toma. And so then also we have the word restore restore such a one we get our English word to catheterize from this and so to restore means to correct its used of a surgical term and so many countries are red pointed this out about setting a bone or setting a joint in place in other contexts strengthening of a worn-down people mixing of Medicine of a sailor outfit in his boat. And I love this one time and time again, I saw references to the fishermen mending their Nets and we could quote Matthew we could quote Mark hear about how Jesus found his disciples mending their Nets because their Nets had been been used and they had they had come apart and places and so a fisherman would have to mend his Nets a surgeon must set bone and boy that brings sharp pains to my arm even now thinking about it because as I shared before I broke my arm twice when I was just a lad and I remember having to get that first break set now the second Was just a fracture and I didn't have to have that one setting I was thankful for that because I remembered the pain of the first time when I had to have my bone set and that was almost worse pain. It was worse pain than when I broke my arm initially because I didn't even really feel anything the first time I broke it and everybody else around me was panicking and and cuz they could see you know, the contortions of my arm and how it wasn't it wasn't in line the way it's supposed to be it looks really weird and up but I was taking care of and I took me to the doctor and I remember the excruciating pain of him having to set that bone. Oh that hurt that hurt. And so this sometimes can be painful but friend it must needs be because the men needs to happen to notice. It's not just to bring pain on someone hits with it ice of a of a the heart of a doctor that the heart of a physician who wants to help heal who wants to help me and that which was broken we do it with meekness with gentleness was submissiveness. This is the manner in which we do it. We consider ourselves. We give Heat Ourselves we must be attentive to ourselves very diligent is the the sense in the the force of the language that Paul uses and so we do this. We do this as an imperative bear. Ye vs. Number 2 is an imperative Force we bear one another's burdens. And so what is the context of this restoration notice? The first word is brethren, we do this as family as part of the family of God and friend there should be someone close to you and your Christian walk that's close enough to come and point things out when you're walking us astray when you're like Peter perhaps doing some things that will bring damage to the name to the testimony of Jesus Christ. You can have a pole there. You can have a friend who will rise to the occasion and and not let you continue down that road that will tarnish the testimony of Christ the family language that pulls using hair is powerful friend. There's nothing like the family of Faith Paul says to tell me that the church should treat each other as brothers and sisters mothers and fathers. We can look at references you're taking notes. I won't read it for sake of time this morning, but go look up 1st. Timothy chapter 5 verses 1 through to go read Mark chapter 3 and verse 35 where are the household of faith? And so friend you love your church family. I love this church. And I love our church family. I'm so blessed and privileged to be colder the pastor Broomfield Baptist Church and to think about how the Lord has counted me faithful putting into the ministry is no light thing for it. I don't deserve to be here today. It's only by God's grace that I am what I am, but I just love our church. I love this household of faith. And so if I can do something for someone I want to care for them. I have a spiritual charge to uphold, you know, I love my kids and I don't want to see my children destroy their lives and if something comes into their life, I want to protect them. I want to stand in the way and there's some times where I have to correct my children, but this is what families do family. We don't let each other go we love each other and so we care for each other and one of the ways that we do that is by speaking the truth in love. There's a need for restoration. You know, I talked about that. Broken bone those things don't heal just like that. No, I had to stay in a cast for a while in order for my bone to heal the setting of a broken bone man that takes a lot of wisdom that takes a lot of work. I would not have wanted to try to do that by myself. I needed a doctor's care. I needed someone who had medical training in case something happened with that bone and then also to make sure it was set in the right place. So if we're going to restore a fellow believer, it's going to involve hard work. It's going to take care. It's going to take time and this is where compassion comes in Old c i Scofield. He said one time long-suffering and gentleness what meekness and goodness in faith, the ministry of restoration requires. It is work indeed which taxes the utmost resources of Grace for no one is so hard to get on with no one is so critical so unreasonable as a saint out of communion, but thank God. Old Scofield said love can do it and we must restore the nature of restoration. There's a need for restoration. What is this restoration look like one commentator said the word restore. It means to put back in order as I've mentioned to repair setting fractured bones those kind of things. So what's the goal the goal is always construct if it's always positive we need to qualify this so don't we we don't take this as a command for us to be the righteousness police. Okay. We don't need to go around sticking your nose in places where it doesn't belong we must be careful and we're not called inspect every minor detail of somebody's life. I don't think that's what Paul had in mind here. So it seems to be that it's the sins which we can observe are destroying people. Those are what we stand in the way of when it's when it's observable and this is not just a mere conscience issue by the way, for example, maybe there's a brother or sister who has become addicted to something. What should we do? We should seek help we should seek help and if somebody is working in an excessive amount of time, maybe they have come to the place where they're even neglecting their family. Then we need to come alongside and then we need to help them see how the damage is being done to their family. Maybe there's a man that's involved in a relationship. That's kind of shady and how would we handle that? We need to confront him gently and let the truth be heard if there's a sister who maybe is begin to miss corporate worship, you know for a month and we can't get no one can't connect with him. I know that these are challenging times. We don't have a place to physically assemble, but we can still connect with each other electronically we can call each other we can do different things to stay connected in somebody has fallen off for that for an undue amount of time than they should at least get a phone call from somebody in the church that says we care about you. We miss you would love you for praying for you. What can we do to help? Maybe there's somebody who cares for your brothers and sisters and no one's trying to be everybody's accountability partner here. But ultimately Jesus can forgive Jesus can restore and so this is our job to point others to the one who can help them to point them to the feet of Jesus, and we're not going to be able to Do that by ignoring things and sticking her head in the sand remaining silent when we ought to say something. It'll only come back to bite us later. What's the nature of the restore? Well, we ought to be spiritual. That's what Paul says he which are spiritual restore such an one in the in the spirit of meekness. That's a lowercase s in. So this is the demeanor we have we have meekness about us. Remember Jesus and Matthew chapter 7 verse number 5. So many people are are quick to quote this verse, you know, judge not that ye be not judged. They're quick to quote that verse but how many of them remember verse 5 which follows right after that they tend to turn a blind eye to this one. Bow hypocrite First cast out the beam out of thine own eye or the telephone pole size beam if you will out of thine own eye and then shall see clearly to cast out the mote or the speck out of that brother's eye. So once you get the log out of your own eye friend, you'll be able to see much better to help your brother. Get the speck out of his out of his eye. We need to be gentle when we do this. We need to be careful as we help those that we love. We need to love is one story goes like salt since God has the law of sowing and reaping the way that we deal with others that we observe sins and their lives that might I might just determine how others are going to deal with me someday how I deal with them because of the law of sowing and reaping when I slip when I have a missed that when I mess up the Lord is looking for believers looking for Christians who will love one another like salt there was once a king who was depressed by circumstances in his realm. He was battling covid-19. I'm just kidding. This was a king as if that's a joke. Okay, he was he was depressed by the circumstances is in his room and he was feeling rejected by many of his subjects and he called for his three daughters to come and comfort him and give him some reassurance and after they talked for a while. He asked him how much they loved him. Two of them answered that they cared for him more than all the gold and all the silver in the world we care for you more than that. The youngest daughter said that she said I love you like salt. The king wasn't pleased with their answer because he considered salt to be really a very little value, you know, I mean compared to gold and silver salt really the cooked however overheard the conversation and knew that the child's reply had more significance than the father could ever match. And she didn't say anything to the king about the matter, but she came up with a shrewd plan if you will to emphasize the true, meaning of what his daughter meant. So the next morning at breakfast you can see where this is going can't use the next morning at breakfast. She withheld the salt from everything that she served no salt in anything. It's over your say. Well, there's nothing new about that. I do that all the time with my cooking. Anyway, well, this was a big deal for this King took all the salt out of everything. She served the meal to the king. It was so insipid the king. He didn't enjoy it very much at all. And so it was at that moment. He realized the full force of his daughters remarks. She loved him so much that nothing was good without him. Nothing was good without him saltburn salt holds back corruption. We could think about all those things as being Salt and Light as we ought to be for Christians as Christians and so she loved it so much that nothing was good without him. And so with the smiley said I understand now your love is the greatest of all list of the words of Isaac Watts written in 1709 not to condemn the sons of men did Christ the son of God appear no weapons in his hands are seen no flaming sword or thunder there such was the pity of our God. He loved the race of man. So, well, he sent his son to Bear our load of sins to save our souls from Hell Sinners believe the savior's word trust in his mighty name in Liv A thousand Joys his lips afford is hands a thousand blessings GIF old. Can we get the heart of our savior? Can we sense? The power of the words of Paul is he encourages us towards this idea of gentle restoration as we bare other's burdens. We need to have gentle restoration. But we also need to have a humble burden bearing versus two and three burdens are reality in our fallen world, you know that as well as I do Paul assumes here by the language that he's using the argument that the conditional sentences. He's assuming that the Galatians are going to have burdens there a fact of life. They're unavoidable friends. They come in all forms may be a burden has a mental illness or a physical illness or financial crisis or covid-19 or demon possession or addiction or family family crises. One thing is sure. No, one will escape from the weight of problems when they can pound without Jesus Christ. Jesus said this and John 16:33 these things have I spoken unto you that she that in me you might have peace in the world. You shall have tribulation but be of good cheer I have overcome the world that good cheer is Gospel news. By the way that Jesus Christ has overcome the world. You see burdens are reality friend and we are not self-sufficient. The first part of Earth's number to remind us to that bear. Ye one another's burdens and so fulfill the law of Christ. Sometimes the answer to our Psalm 55 prayers cast thy burden upon the Lord and He Shall healthy is found as he brings help from other believers. Let's not neglect that thought friend. Even the best of the God's servant sometimes needs help member Moses. He was he was taking too much on him and Jethro came in and said, this is a Good Moses. You're doing too much. We're going to study about that and in the exes when we get back to that their midweek Services, what you're doing is not good Moses 2nd Corinthians, you know, Paul who's writing this letter. He talks about being weary and Afflicted and how the Lord used Titus to help him 2nd Corinthians chapter 7 set your eyes on verses 5 and 6 with me says for when we were come to Macedonia. Our flesh had no rest, but we were troubled on every side without we're fighting within we're fears nevertheless God that comfort of those that are cast down comforted us. Don't miss this. Underline it Circle it highlighted by the coming of Titus. How did God lift up pole? He sent Titus Titus. Who's the one that God would send along your path that brother or sister in Christ. It's going to lick you up during this time. She this is commanded all believers. He says averse to Bear. Ye one another's burdens. Mention before I'll say it again. This is an imperative. It's imperative that we carry each other's burdens. There's a story that's told about turning the IC end to their fellows. There was there was a an apprenticeship in a factory on the banks of the Merrimack River one time and The Honorable NP Banks. He was the late governor of Massachusetts in the they saw a man about a quarter mile down the river he was struggling among the broken cakes of ice and date. They couldn't determine his political makeup. They didn't know, you know where he stood. They just saw that he was struggling in the eyes and it wouldn't be long before he would be dead and drowned or hypothermia would get the best of him and so they went to help him and they tried to rescue him but twice he split from the plank that they have thrown out 2 1/3 time. It was evidence of them. He said that it was this man's last chance. so he slipped on the board that third time and then he cried. How do you said for the love of God gentleman, give me hold of the wooden end of the plank this time see what they have been doing was holding out the ICN to him. It was all Frozen with ice and every time he tried to grab it with slip how how many times do we do that to somebody perhaps spiritually speaking. We hold out to them this thing that they can't even hold on to it just slip up every time and so we make this the same mistakes sometimes don't we return to ICN to the plank to the Bellows? And we wonder why they can't hold on why they can't take her help and why everything we're trying to do isn't isn't pulling them out of there their predicament burden bearing Paul says as how we fulfill the law of Christ, but I remind you it's only Pride that's going to stand in the way of us helping others. Sometimes these six things that the Lord hates Proverbs 6 sj7 are an Abomination unto him a proud. Look as the first listed a lying tongue. Hands that shed innocent blood and heart that devises Wicked imaginations feet that be Swift and running to Mischief or false witness that speaketh lies and he that soweth Discord among Brethren. My son keep that father's commitment and forsake not the law that mother buy them continually pain on heart tie them about thy neck. So can we help others in a way that really will help them? We bear one another's burdens, but in versus four and five Paul also talks about us bearing our own burdens and don't let this confuse you that has an apparent contradiction. There is no contradiction here because the two words are different. The first has the idea of a heaviness of weight of Burden that is upon somebody the second word that's used here is a different word in Verses 4 and 5 about bearing our own burdens. This would be like a man's pack that he would carry we bury art. We bare our own burdens and so we examine ourselves inverse number for we take consideration. Can we prove our own work? That's it. That's an important word. But there's a difference between the heavy burdens that others are caring and the personal loans that the Lord expects expects us to carry and so can we do this sometimes when I was working at Home Depot? I used to work at Home Depot. We would have some merchandise on the shelf that he knows a big sign plaster on the side of the box that says two man lift you ever seen that. Okay, this is something where we need help sometimes our burdens are heavy and we need that second person to come alongside us and help us with this load. But other times there's packs that that we are to carry and the burden of our own cross. Jesus said we must take up our own cross and follow him if we're to be his disciple. So what are we supposed to do with our burdens? One of the there's only three ways that we can handle our burdens we can bear them with each other. We can bear them ourselves. But when that gets too much friend, there's only one place to take our burdens and that's to the feet of the Cross burdens are lifted at Calvary. That old song says so every man must bear the burden of building his wife on the sayings of Jesus Christ. We will all receive What's Done in our body? We much must each give account before the Lord one day and so can we bear our own burdens? But when they become too heavy to carry Christ said He would take our burdens he would give us rest we cast our burden on the Lord and so our sins are a heavy burden that we can't carry on our own friend. We need Christ to take our see our sins. We cannot ignore them. We cannot deny them. We can't make restitution for them. It's only in Christ that that burden of sin can be forgiven all our anxiety all our cares all of these frustrating as depressing us. This is not to be borne by a mere mortal because it will surely can sue them and carry them to the Grave. All of these burdens should be cast upon the Lord. Look at Galatians chapter 4 verse number 6 and because your son's God had sent forth the spirit of his son into your hearts crying. What are we cry Abba father Abba Father help me father Natural calamities pestilences, we're living through pestilence right now revolutions countless other things. These are burdens. No mortal can bear. What do we do with these things? We casting upon the Lord. What do we do with things like covid-19 we cast our burden upon the Lord. We are responsible to God as individuals as well as a group and as a family of Christ and if I am to fulfill my Christian Duty. Others, there's there's some things I need to remember that'll be an encouragement one preacher said it like this. He said God's grace save me. And his Mercy forgave me God's peace comforts me and its provision satisfies me God's hand heals me and his power delivers me God's glory owes me. Is righteousness clothes me God's word encourages and teaches me. His work challenges me God's son motivates me his Spirit feels God's presence blesses me and his Joy Delights me friend. What is the burden that you're carrying? Can you cast your burden on the Lord won't you come to him and lay that burned down at the Cross of Christ? Are you struggling under the weight of your sin old friend today won't you like old Christian in Pilgrim's Progress come to the foot of the cross and lay that burden of your heavy sent at the feet of Jesus and come by face to him and let him lift you up. Let him take your load over and won't you lay that down at the feet of Jesus and take his yoke upon you and learn of him for his meek and lowly in heart all ye that labor and are heavy laden. He promised he would give rest we're going to have the piano play for aversive invitation. I'm going to invite you to come if you got a burden to lay down at the feet of Jesus. Why don't you cast your care upon the Lord for he careth for you while the piano plays this time is for you friend to meditate upon the Lord won't you come to him now? Don't wait. Jesus is Calling won't you come?

Oh Lord. I Thank you that we can bring all of our anxieties all of our cares we can bring them to the mercy seat. We can leave them there through the blood of Jesus Christ. We can be made whole and he can take our burdens and remove them as far as the East is from the West O Lord. I pray for that one right now. That maybe is wondering how do I find this rest in my soul? I pray that you would help them to come to you to call upon the name of the Lord to lay their burden down at the feet of Jesus right now to acknowledge the fact that they're Sinners and Believe on the Lord may arise from this prayer time with a lightness upon them with their burdens being removed for that one who's walking and who might be be threatened with becoming weary in well-doing Lord. I pray that this would be an uplifting time for them. If they think about your goodness in your grace. May we come and have our burdens lifted at Calvary father? Thank you for Jesus Christ and his omnipotent Everlasting arm that up high. Call Justin guides us who promised he would never leave us nor forsake us and Lord.
