Imagine if someone had brutally murdered one of your closest friends for no good reason. Then, moments after you hear about it, you are approached by a group of people who are in need. They are hungry, or poor, or depressed, or injured. Do you help them? Or do you explain that someone you love just died and you must leave them alone in their suffering? Thank God that His Son has a level of compassion beyond me and you! This bit of scripture happens moments after Jesus hears that His cousin has been killed.
