So today we begin a new series called I CAN OBEY! In fact that is our main point that i want you guys to remember for the next few week, I CAN OBEY!
and our power verce is Ephesians 6:1
1 Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right.
So over the next few weeks we are going to be looking at different Bible character and see how the OBEY and what we can learn from them. So i hope your ready and excited because this is very important to learn now that your young.
This what we are talking about Dose not change. We all have parents in our lives that we have to obey still, and bosses that we need to obey. As believes of God its important that we also find ourselves with this kind of attitude I CAN OBEY!
Now todays Bible Character we will be looking at today is Noah. And the reason we want to take a look at Noah’s story is because like Noah, when we obey God,

So how did God take care of Noah, well first we need to see what did God ask Noah to do. Was it just to build a boat? NO. Remember Noah had never seen or heard of anything like this before, God had to give him very detailed instructions that needed to be followed.
15 This is how you are to make it: the length of the ark 300 cubits, its breadth 50 cubits, and its height 30 cubits. 16 Make a roof for the ark, and finish it to a cubit above, and set the door of the ark in its side. Make it with lower, second, and third decks.
the Ark was about 450 feet in length
the width was about 75 feet
and the height was about 45 feet
The ark was so big it would be like taking 5 football fields and lining them up right next to each other and building the ark inside it.
Now why did God ask Noah to build the Ark in this manner. Because God was protecting Noah from the flood that was coming, we wanted to take care of him. And in the same way when God/ parents ask us to do something its not so he can kill are fun or anything. its so that He can take care of us.
18 But I will establish my covenant with you, and you shall come into the ark, you, your sons, your wife, and your sons’ wives with you.
The covent that we was making with Noah was him say “ hay i got your back, ill take care of you”
IT’S IMPORTANT TO OBEY ALL THE TIME
IT’S IMPORTANT TO OBEY ALL THE TIME
Now lets thing about it for a minute, what if Noah didn’t Listen to God. Do you think he would have served the flood long, or lets say that he only obey a few of the directions that God gave him. Maybe instead of making it three levels he only did two or one. Would there have been enough room in the boat for all of the animal and his family.
PORTAL OBEDIENCE IS STILL DISOBEDIENCE! And God can’t take care of us.
Lets take these cookies for instance, they look really good don’t they. But they kinda look different too. See one batch of cookies I followed all the instructions that where given to me , and the other I just did what i felt like doing.
You tell me witch cookie tasted better to you? Now obviously the cookie that I fold the instructions on ended up being the better cookie, and kinda like that cookie that tasted better we, when we choose to obey and follow instructions we too tasted better to God.
He must do all the things that God has asked us to do, and are parents or those that are the adults in our life. When you do, are God in heaven will take care of you. HE WANTS TO PROTECT YOU.
