I AM,
Somebody…

A Warrior…

Victorious…
And that’s because I AM,
A child of God!!!
Joke:
Intro: We are continuing our sermon series Free to See...
What do you see when you have your eyes closed and you lay down at night?
Do you see dreams and hopes, or do you see nightmares and failures?
Do you see things coming to pass in your life or do you see roadblocks and dead ends?
What do you see when you look in a mirror???
Do You See Gods beautiful creation or do you see someone who is flawed???
All of us are Free to See what we choose to See.
When I look into the mirror I see a Warrior!!!
Yes Iv’e been through some things like the rest of you, but that’s not what I choose to see...
Im not going to allow a couple flaws, or trials, determine who I am.
We all have different chapters, and experiences we will go through but that doesn’t change the fact that God created you with a purpose and plan in mind.
Regardless of how invaluable you may feel, God created You, You are Somebody.
Sermon Title:
#340 “ ”
Some of us have allowed what we see in the mirror to dictate how we live and determine who we are.
So I need to give you this word...
Genesis 1:26 ESV
Then God said, “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness. And let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over the livestock and over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”
Genesis 1:27 ESV
So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.
Some may look in the miorror today and feel worthless.
We feel like our lives have no value, we feel insignifacant.
But what I need you to see today is that you are valueable and you were created in the image of God.
You may not like your skin color, your hair, the way you age.
But you are God’s creation and you are significant.
You are free to see, whatever you want but know He created you the way He wanted to.
Jeremiah 1:5 ESV
“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you; I appointed you a prophet to the nations.”
He set you apart...
He took time to form you, He created every detail about you, even those marks or scars you dislike.
Story: I remenber when I was a little kid I remeber one day i noticed I had this birthmark on my arm its small now but when I was a littlie kid this thing seemed hugh...
I remeber trying real hard to get it off, and then finally showing Mama aand she told me I wasntgoing to be able to take it off, it was their forever.
I began to cry because I wanted it off, and I’m sure after she told me I wasnt going to be able to take it off, I tried again anyway.
Psalm 139:13 ESV
For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother’s womb.
Psalm 139:14 ESV
I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well.
Psalm 139:15 ESV
My frame was not hidden from you, when I was being made in secret, intricately woven in the depths of the earth.
Psalm 139:16 ESV
Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there was none of them.
It sounds to me like God took time to create you.
He thought about it, so the next time you see worthless, you see old, you see not good enough, You think about what the word of God says about you.
The Word of God says I’m wonderfully made.
You are valuable...
Storage Wars: My father and I would go to those because he loved going to those.
We found one that nobody else bid on.
I saw a box of DVDs and hoped for the best.
Others looked at it and thought it was junk, it had no value in it.
But we found games, dvds, and jewlery.
Others saw nothing, others saw junk, others saw a storage with no value.
And we may look at our lives, or even worse others may look at your life and see no value, and se no worth.
But what God sees is His creation, He sees someone He made from scratch, and He sees a life that He values more than you can understand.
1 Corinthians 6:20 ESV
for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.
Listen, that tells me that Jesus and Lucifer-The devil were on Storage Wars and the enemy tried to buy you.
But Jesus out bid Him and said I’ll take it, there is no price I wouldnt pay for them.
And so He died on a cross for you and i, because thats how muchHe values us.
and the devil told Jesus as they were sitting there bidding, why are you even bidding on this one, She’s broken, and there looks like nothing but problems in there, there looks like nothing but emotional baggage in there, there looks like nothing but failure in there. This one isn’t worth it.
And Jesus looks at Lucifer and says regardless of who they are or what they’ve done, I will take them and all the mess that comes with it.
Ill take there insecurieties, Ill take their failures, i’ll take their addictions, because I know their worth.
Clean Up...
regardless of what you think of yourself, or how damaged you are He cleans you up.
One of the things when you bought a storage was you had to take everything and leave it spotless.
If not you would get fined or asked not to come back, so we had to make sure we cleaned it out.
And God wants to do the same for us.
Jeremiah 29:11 ESV
For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.
When He created, He created you with a purpose...
Closing:
1 John 1:9 ESV
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
