Lasting Change

During Lockdown it has made us want to change a few things
We had the opportunity to take a long hard look at ourselves and consider things that we liked and disliked about ourselves or our lives
There was a time to think.
The news is reporting more and more people wish to just work form home they want more time on their hands
Yet there was a virtual simulation of wait gain for us human being over the next 20 years if we all worked from home.
The end of the discovery said it was good for us to be active, its the being active that helps us to make good decisions.
Yet we all recognise that some change needs to happen
So how do we achieve lasting Change?

New Diets and New Resoloutions

Year on year we begin a year with great intentions
Some of us say to ourselves im going to join a Gym this year and get fit
Others say im going to go on that Diet my Friend recommended and lose some weight
Some of us set new years resolutions like to to get a new job or a new House or eat less choclate.
Yet most of these ideas and statements to change only last for the month of January maybe febuary if were lucky. Yet by now in the year 7 months in its all ended.
Well what if I told you of a new plan that will help you to achieve these lasting changes or these goals that you set for yourself each year?
This is how the Daniel Plan can help you to achieve success in your life of making changes.

Lasting Change requires making wise Choices

Everyone wants to be healthy but few chose to be healthy.
It takes more than a desire or a dream to get healthy its simply a decision to get healthy
You wont change until you chose to change
You dont get healthy by accident its a choice it has to be an intentional decision
Yet once the decision is made like Joining our Daniel Plan then it becomes easier and easier for you as with the right education about food and wellbeing from us, then its just one wise choice after another.
As you make more and more healthy choices you will begin to change and feel better about yourself.
What I have noticed since being on this plan is how it gets you to think about food, how its gets you to look at ingredients in food and what to go for and what not to go for.
You wouldnt make a choice to be with someone that is bad for you yet we all do it with Food we intentionally chose fast food or junk food that bad for us
Then wonder why the next day we are feeling low or depressed but we never match it up to food.
When making these choices I have found that praying to God and asking for his help the right food or the right recipie comes infront of me and I have always had just the right ingreedients to make that meal.
I have also found when praying to him for provision with finances to be able to do this diet, because technically on paper it was going to cost me £200 more a month I have been able to have just enough to get by, and still eat the food.
You see how he has helped me to maintain this diet and to keep making the healthy choices.
The Secret Sauce to the Daniel Plan is that we have God helping us through it
Even if you dont believe in God he will help you because he loves you, always have always will.
As you begin to follow the Daniel Plan you will see how God has a part and you have a part in your spiritual health and physical health.
You do your bit and God does his bit.

Lasting Change Requires a New way of thinking

The way you think determines the way you feel
The way you feel will determine the way you act
Your thoughts are like the autopilot of your life.
In a new way of thinking you can change the direction of your life and become more healthier happier and richer in life.
Its all about mindset.
Changing your mindset and eating healthy food will help you seek new ways of living
It will also help your body in taking on the task of changing direction
It takes energy to change direction mentally believe it or not
So if your eating healthy food, changing direction in your life becomes a lot easier
Changing mindset will give you a whole new outlook on life and new emotions positive emotions.
You will be able to read more, do more and enjoy life more
In the Daniel Plan you will learn some new thinking skills to help you change direction in your life and help you change your mindset.
For example you will learn to replace negative thoughts for positive thoughts rather than resisting the thoughts you will be able to attack them head on.
If you resist something eventually that thing is going to push through and get the better of you
But if you attack it head on you will defeat it
So the Daniel Plan will help you to attack those negative thoughts or the addiction you are struggling with.
It will help you to change your mindset so that you have a whole different life and lasting change happens.

Lasting Change Requires Honest Community

In the past you may have tried to tackle change on your own
Yet some changes require community for you to be truely successful in change
It requires a cheer leading team for you to cheer you on and encourage you through the bad days
We as human beings were never created to live alone but to live in community with one another
There is scientific evidence of people living longer because they had community around them
Loneliness kilss but community keeps you going and helps you to attain the best life for yourself
On this Daniel Plan we have a great community of people you can join in with
We really encourage one another to do well
We praise the good days and speak life into the bad days
Sometimes its not even about food but about how we may of had a bad day.
I myself have had another rought week
Funding is being ripped from out of us from a group of churches that were funding us but getting leglaistic and underhandidly changing rules which would mean our foodbank and church may end up closing if we dont have 20K by September
Yet the group of people I have been apart of at our church has really got behind me helped me and cheered me on
Telling me it will be okay it will work out
Reminding me of the God we serve and how he helps us and brings in miracles.
If it wasnt for them then I would really struggle to get through this week and carry on. I may have not made it onto this call this morning but instead be sitting licking my woonds
You see how being in community can help you, for some us we have all felt in turmoil
Worrying if we will still have a Job at the end of this COVID problem
Worrying if we will have a house to live in
Worrying if we will have enought to pay the bills
Yet being in community of people helps you picks you up especially in our community
They cheer you on and pray with you and the best thing is they stand with you through your problems
Its like a nice family that help each other through lifes pains and distresses.
It essentially helps you to say to yourself I am going to be okay, I will get through this and there are this group of people that care about me.
That in its self is a reason to come and join in with us on the Daniel Plan.

Wrapping It Up

Three things to achieve Lasting Change
Making Wise Choices
New Way of Thinking
Honest Community
These three things mixed in a pot with dash of faith and belief in God will help you to change your life
To achieve your goals
To become Healthier, Happier and Richer in life.
