1) Make You Righteous

Effort cannot get you into the King’s court but your faith can
Trying harder will wear you down. Rest and believe to bring permanent change
Romans 5:1 (NKJV) Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,
Louw-Nida-the act of clearing someone of transgression—‘to acquit, to set free, to remove guilt, acquittal.’
LTW- to justify, acquit, vindicate, declare to be righteous. The act of judging favorably or proving right.
We become righteous by believing the truth about Jesus Christ. This is the new birth, salvation, or being born again
We must hear the truth
We must repent, confess our sin, and ask forgiveness
We must believe the truth
We must act on the truth we hear and believe
See also Romans 3:28, Philippians 3:9, Romans 4:5

2) Keep You Righteous

We maintain our right-standing with God by continually choosing to believe and act on His truth over all other facts and sources of information
Romans 3:22 (NKJV) even the righteousness of God, through faith in Jesus Christ, to all and on all who believe. For there is no difference;
If we hear and refuse to believe, we lose our righteousness.
We do not lose our salvation, but since we disagree with God we lose out on the blessings of relationship until we repent
God is speaking continuously to us. This means we must be continuously hearing, continuously repenting, and continuously obeying, to maintain our fellowship and right-standing.
Romans 3:26 (NLT) for he was looking ahead and including them in what he would do in this present time. God did this to demonstrate his righteousness, for he himself is fair and just, and he makes sinners right in his sight when they believe in Jesus.
God graciously trains us and teaches us how to listen to Him and follow Him
Words and actions contrary to revealed truth will stop your fellowship and friendship with the Lord
Galatians 3:22 (NLT) But the Scriptures declare that we are all prisoners of sin, so we receive God’s promise of freedom only by believing in Jesus Christ.
Faith is acting on revealed truth, responding to God as if you believed what He showed you
Your faith can get God’s attention. Your faith can keep God’s attention

3) Enable You to Stand Strong

Romans 5:2 (CJB) Also through him and on the ground of our trust, we have gained access to this grace in which we stand; so let us boast about the hope of experiencing God’s glory.
Faith draws the power of God to strengthen you during the five kinds of troubles (2 Cor 12:10)
KJV-infirmities, reproaches, necessities, persecutions, distresses
AMP-infirmities, insults, hardships, persecutions, perplexities and distresses
NLT-weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and troubles
2 Corinthians 12:10 (Message) Now I take limitations in stride, and with good cheer, these limitations that cut me down to size—abuse, accidents, opposition, bad breaks. I just let Christ take over! And so the weaker I get, the stronger I become.
1 Corinthians 16:13 (NKJV) Watch, stand fast in the faith, be brave, be strong.
Faith gets you into grace which empowers you to stand strong. No matter what!

4) Give You Peace

Romans 14:17 (NKJV) for the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.
The normal state of mind is peace and joy while being right with God in all areas
Lacking peace or joy indicates walking by sight not by faith
Whenever we are in faith we are also in peace and joy
Romans 5:1 (NKJV) Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,
Luke 7:50 (NKJV) Then He said to the woman, “Your faith has saved you. Go in peace.”
