How our faith works

John 6:63 NKJV
63 It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life.
Luke 8:22–25 NKJV
22 Now it happened, on a certain day, that He got into a boat with His disciples. And He said to them, “Let us cross over to the other side of the lake.” And they launched out. 23 But as they sailed He fell asleep. And a windstorm came down on the lake, and they were filling with water, and were in jeopardy. 24 And they came to Him and awoke Him, saying, “Master, Master, we are perishing!” Then He arose and rebuked the wind and the raging of the water. And they ceased, and there was a calm. 25 But He said to them, “Where is your faith?” And they were afraid, and marveled, saying to one another, “Who can this be? For He commands even the winds and water, and they obey Him!”
They were crossing the lake when a windstorm came.
There are many windstorms in life (sickness, disappointments, etc)
Jesus response was a question to us today: “Where is your faith?”
It is as if suggesting the problem responded to faith not anything else.
For Jesus did not say, why did you not command the storm but where is your faith.
Commanding a problem to end should follow faith in heart.
Commanding satan to get behind should follow a heart of faith.
It is the knowledge we have of which Christ is that saves us.
Knowing Jesus Christ is knowing His purposes, will, graces, mercy, Love and Compassion...
We cannot calm the windstorm if we ourselves are not calm in heart
Luke 8:49–50 NKJV
49 While He was still speaking, someone came from the ruler of the synagogue’s house, saying to him, “Your daughter is dead. Do not trouble the Teacher.” 50 But when Jesus heard it, He answered him, saying, “Do not be afraid; only believe, and she will be made well.”
Satan wanted to quite Jairus faith by bringing a negative report (ignore such a report)
Remember that Jesus said to Jairus in the face of death that took his daughter
Don’t be afraid
Only believe
This is only possible when the heart is full of faith, as the scripture say in Romans 10:10, 17
Romans 10:17 NKJV
17 So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
Hearing produces:
Knowledge
Understanding/revelation from meditation
Wisdom brings application, corresponding action
We are in perilous times, we need the spirit to give light to the word in order to come out in victory.
The coming windstorms need faith
If we don’t prepare and be in faith, we will wish Covid-19 affected us and died.
We talk of angels ministering to heirs of salvation. This time we need their activity more
PRAYER:
Jesus Christ - have mercy on Me!
Let your mercy speak for me
Lord I am sorry, forgive my sin, disobedience
Lord teach me to let go (grudges, bad experiences, past hurt, offenses, etc) so that I grow in Your mercy.
