20 My eager expectation and hope is that I will not be ashamed about anything, but that now as always, with all courage, Christ will be highly honored in my body, whether by life or by death.
21 For me, to live is Christ and to die is gain.
Through out our average lifetime there will be a time where we have to pick a side of a situation. When we chose that side is when we have to be clear and be sure that it is the side that we want top be on and have to be prepared to deal with everything that comes with being on that side. This happens in our walk with Christ as well. We at some point must pick a side wither we are going to believe or we are not going to.
After we pick that side then everyday becomes a choice where we decide that we are going to follow Christ’s life or we are going to push God into a corner till we need him in our lives.
See is this passage Paul is talking about this side of our choosing. He tells us That it doesn’t matter what others think what matter is that everything he does honors Christ and the life that he lived by.
But before we can dive more into this passage the question becomes what are the sides.

The sides are very defined when we look at them you either follow Christ or you follow the world. now this be a troubling thought for us the younger generation. We are young and do not really think about devoting our young life to Christ 24/7. The more that we dive in God’s word we see that it is pretty black and white on the choices that we make.
4 You adulterous people! Don’t you know that friendship with the world is hostility toward God? So whoever wants to be the friend of the world becomes the enemy of God.
God word defines the side here as clear as ever if you are a friend of the world you are against God. We have to fix our eyes on Christ and nothing Else.
We as young Adults get so caught up in the things that the world says we have to be doing right now and most of you will say that's not me but it is everyone of us.
We spend most of our time rather than in Gods word or praying to God we rather spend the time
Hanging with Friends
Playing video games
trying to get a boy attention
trying to get a Girls attention
Dancing inappropriately on Tic Tok.
What side are you on you have to ask yourself. Are you giving your life to Christ everyday?
The last thing I want us to focus on is the last thing that Paul is saying in Philippians
21 For me, to live is Christ and to die is gain.
