Matthew 24:3-11 (NKJV) The Disciples' Two Questions Mark 13:3, 4; Luke 21:7 3 Now as He sat on the Mount of Olives, cthe disciples came to Him privately, saying, d"Tell us, when will these things be? And what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?" The Tribulation Mark 13:5-23; Luke 21:5-24 4 And Jesus answered and said to them: e"Take heed that no one deceives you. 5 For fmany will come in My name, saying, 'I am the Christ,' gand will deceive many. 6 And you will hear of hwars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for 1all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. 7 For ination will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be jfamines, 2pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. 8 All these are the beginning of sorrows. 9 k"Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My name's sake. 10 And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another. 11 Then lmany false prophets will rise up and mdeceive many. 1 1 John 4:1-3 (NKJV) 4 Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but atest the spirits, whether they are of God; because bmany false prophets have gone out into the world. 2 By this you know the Spirit of God: cEvery spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God, 3 and every spirit that does not confess 1that Jesus 2Christ has come in the flesh is not of God. And this is the spirit of the Antichrist, which you have heard was coming, and is now already in the world.2 Matthew 24:11-12 (NKJV) 11 Then lmany false prophets will rise up and mdeceive many. 12 And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow ncold. 3 Matthew 24:9-14 (NKJV) 9 k"Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My name's sake. 10 And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another. 11 Then lmany false prophets will rise up and mdeceive many. 12 And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow ncold. 13 oBut he who endures to the end shall be saved. 14 And this pgospel of the kingdom qwill be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.4 1 John 4:3-4 (NKJV) 3 and every spirit that does not confess 1that Jesus 2Christ has come in the flesh is not of God. And this is the spirit of the Antichrist, which you have heard was coming, and is now already in the world. 4 You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than dhe who is in the world. 5 c Mark 13:3 d [Matt. 24:27, 37, 39; Luke 17:20-37; 1 Thess. 5:1-3] e Eph. 5:6; [Col. 2:8, 18; 2 Thess. 2:3; 1 John 4:1-3] f Jer. 14:14; John 5:43; Acts 5:36; [1 John 2:18; 4:3] g Matt. 24:11 h [Rev. 6:2-4] 1 NU omits all i 2 Chr. 15:6; Is. 19:2; Hag. 2:22; Zech. 14:13 j Acts 11:28; Rev. 6:5, 6 2 NU omits pestilences k Matt. 10:17; Luke 21:12; [John 16:2]; Acts 4:2, 3; Rev. 2:10 l Acts 20:29; 2 Pet. 2:1; Rev. 13:11; 19:20 m [1 Tim. 4:1] 1 The New King James Version.
