In the story of God’s people, few play as prominent a role as David. Four books of the Bible tell of his life, and a fifth records his musings and music. His dynasty lasts for generations, and one of his descendants is King over all nations: Jesus. But when David is first chosen by God to be the next king, he isn't what some expect. Yet this young shepherd displays the kind of character God is looking for.
