We're going to take the time this morning to talk about some things. They've been rolling around in my head for several weeks. No, Jeremy asked me to pray to pray to to preach and pray to Buddha preached yesterday evening because of how he was feeling and there's these thoughts rolling around in my head that I'm going to share and I'm probably going to teach more than Preach Today and that's usually my style. Anyway, you guys got to know me better probably in a little bit more than normal. But during this season, we're in as a country during the season were in it is is a body of Believers in Christ. Everything is going on around us. These are some of the things that are rolling around in my head some things I think about it and pray about Austin and I just feel like God open this door for me to share that that's kind of how you know, when stuff swirling around is going to come out eventually and here we are. So let's get a Amen on that. We're going to I want to think on something, you know, Jeremy sure the passage last week. In the passage was that's it. It's the renewing of our minds be transformed by the renewing of our minds. It's our minds that needs to be renewed and I use the phrase all the time when I walk with people and I talk with people I say, I want you to consider the possibility that and then you introduce them to an idea that may create a little bit of cognitive dissonance. So I'm going to do some of that with you this morning, but I'm going to start the passage. In Philippians 4:8. I'm going to read it. And then we're going to pray here's what the Bible says in Philippians 4:8. Finally Brothers. Whatever is true. Whatever is Honorable, whatever is just whatever is pure whatever is lovely whatever is commendable if there is any Excellence if there is anything worthy of Praise think about these thing you would think on these things heavenly father. I thank you for this morning.

We get a pause. And I do this in front of people, but I do this for me. I remind myself every time I sit down and pray that you are real and you are with us and you are present that you will not forsake it and I'm grateful for that little guy and I'm grateful that we have the body of Believers yet to gather together.

And worship the one who did everything for us. So that we can walk in newness of life.

I pray that we would think I pray that we would pray I pray that we would understand. I pray that we would move forward with the things you'd have us to do and have us to be

and I and we pray all these things in Jesus name.

What is a Sunday? Here we are. You know, there's certain thing. As followers of Christ we get to know that other people don't know. I don't know if you know this but some of the things that you realize is because the Holy Spirit dwells within you and people that don't have the Holy Spirit can't realize it if you ever thought about that before for tickling was stuff going on in the world. When you don't believe in God. In the only thing valuable about life is is this physical existence here itself and nothing more than the idea of death rapidly approaching can be a blessing because I think that's the end of it. Nothing else happens or it can be a curse because I got a lot more life to live and I don't want it to end here. So the things that scare the world don't have to scare us that make sense to you. And I hope you're here in Fort for what I have to say because I I think it's important that we walk down that road and that they have to be spiritually discerned. Yeah, we're going to talk about Liberty. We're going to talk about love today. We're going to talk about repentance. We're going to talk about forgiveness and we're going to talk about living when I talk about all of them in the konstrukt of being a follower of Christ and what that means for them.

I want to read another passage of scripture that I think really speaks. Well for this. And I'm praying that God will Open the Eyes of My Heart so we can see this is found in 1st Corinthians chapter 2. I'm going to read the first 14 verses in the Bible says and when I came to you Brothers.

Well there I go. When I came to you Brothers, I did not come proclaiming to you the testimony of God with lofty speech of wisdom. For I decided to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ and him crucified. And I was with you and weakness and in fear and in much trembling. And my speech in my message were not implausible words of wisdom, but in the demonstration of the spirit and a power, I'm going to pause there just for a minute just to say that you see that Paul is already setting up a tone for what he's writing to the Church of Corinth what he saying is when we show up we don't come with the wisdom of the world. We come with a power of God and that's important to understand because as followers of Christ, if we take the opportunity to try to solve all of our problems through the world, whether it's to medicine and medicines are good thing is from God. Don't get me wrong or whether it's through government or whether through a specific leader or a specific party or how well we're going to articulate things in other places like Facebook and social media were looking to those things to change the world. We're looking for the wrong place because that doesn't come with the demonstration God's power God's power comes from God himself and what he did for us on the cross through us to the world around us. And that's exactly how we are to live. Let me go on. So that your faith might not rest in the wisdom of men but in the power of God, I don't know about you but I spent much of my childhood leaving in the father son and the holy book and there's nothing wrong with believing in the holy book. That's the Bible but I wasn't I didn't believe in the father Son and the Holy Spirit the book The Bible was more of a rule book. It was this is how you're supposed to live in you're supposed to figure out the do's and don'ts when you read the Bible instead of understanding. It was actually the story of God. There are some do's and don'ts in their there are but most of the time it's a narrative how God came to transform Us in the world in Jeremy's been amazingly preaching about that through Genesis to us and we're beginning to hear wood that looks like in some of us in terms. We've never really heard before and it's populating some thoughts and understanding that we wish we would have had before and now we're beginning to have you kind of where we're going. This is not the wisdom of man mankind doesn't have the ability to save mankind. It's mankind. It creates Wars that's mankind that kills one another. It's mankind that does all those things. You can't look too man. Trying to solve those problems. The only place we can look as God. And I find myself. Many occasions does I pray wondering what are we supposed to do? What am I? supposed to do and very often I come up. I don't know what I'm supposed to do. But I'm thinking in the world we terms is there some something I need to do with a group of people is or so organization. I need to connect with his is there people I need to hang out with these are things I need to say and do do I need to write certain things a certain way. So people be changed. What am I supposed to do? Who were Paul says we're not showing up with all the what am I supposed to do? What why is ideas we want to show up with what the power of God throwing a plant. That is we move on yet among you. Among the mature. Are we doing part was them? Although it is not the wisdom of this age or the rulers of this age who are doomed to pass away. Did you kind of hear that if you're the ruler of this age where that Be Heaven leaves are on earth, and we're depending on that for life to get better. We're doing the wrong things as followers of Christ. That's not what we depend on. This election eternity does not hang on it. Let me just say that. I don't have to tell you this whoever gets elected is going to be God's person for that time because scripture promises that and if we're going to hang onto What God Says to us no matter who comes in the office next guess what God is going to use it for his benefit and we can trust that and we can trust him in the process because we're not trusting in that to change us into save the world. We're trusting in Jesus to save the world. Because the rulers of this age their what Dooms passed away and hidden wisdom of God, which God decreed before the ages for our Glory. This has been the plan from the very beginning. And when I began to understand the Bible isn't just a whoops. I tried that didn't work. Whoops. Let me try something else didn't work. Whoops. Let me try this didn't work that. It's all a complete story of how God is moving and it's all been planned from the beginning of time. Then you begin to see things a lot differently and how we live our lives even right here in as bad as we have it right now for the most of all of history in the church age. They had it way worse than we can even imagine then we have in the United States of America's followers of Christ. Now the world may be coming to an end cuz I don't know when Christ was coming, but the world is not coming to an end because these kinds of things are happening. It's been way worse for most of the church for all of history. We live in a time when we don't know that because we didn't live at we read a little bit about it in history, but we always think that somewhere else instead of where we are. But in the process we can still try. And this is decree before the ages of our Glory. We're in our Glory now. And Jesus came to move us forward to a higher Glory. None of the rulers of this age understood this for if they had they would not have crucified. the Lord of Glory The Heavenly Man on Earth they put Jesus to death and they thought they ended him if they understood what he's calling the Deep mystery that Christ is doing it when Christ died. He was going to be buried he was going to descend into hell which he did. He appeared to spirits and is going to be raised the new life hokey smokes first thing in all of creation that ever rose from the dead. The first thing that Rose to New Life is an example of what is going to happen in our You see the me if they knew that was going to happen. He would have never been put to death and I'm thrilled. They didn't understand it when we look at the world right now, and we're waiting for promise fulfillment of the prophecy of the coming of the end of the age of when Jesus returns again. If the world around us knew how and when and why that was going to happen. They wouldn't do some of the things they're doing because God's promise that's easy. He's going to protect us even when we walk through the valley of shadow of death. What do we don't have to fear? We don't have to fear evil. Let me move on. But as it is written no eye has seen no ear has heard no heart has imagined what God has prepared for those who love him and I say this all the time if you believe this is it run the wrong way cuz this is not it. We can't even imagine who's on these things. God has revealed to us through the spirit for the spirit searches everything even the depths of God for who knows the person start except the spirit of that person, which is in him. So also no one comprehends the thoughts of God, except the spirit of God. Now we received we have received not the spirit of the world, but the spirit who is it from God that we might understand things freely given to us by God don't understand what he saying in Christ. We receive the spirit of God and when we receive the spirit of God, we have the ability in the opportunity to understand what God is doing around us and we can trust in him and what he's doing And we impart this in words not taught by human wisdom, but top by the spirit interpreting spiritual truth to those who are spiritual. Remember this comes from the heavenlies the spirit. This is coming from wisdom on the years. We already dealt with that and he closes by saying the natural person does not accept the things of the spirit of God for they are Folly to him. I got to say this when we try to convince an unbeliever to live like a Believer we will fail every time because that is spiritually discerned e you kind of hear what he's saying now, it only comes through the spirit people don't have the ability to do the things that God wants us to do in calls us to do because the Holy Spirit does not dwell within them. They don't even have the ability. So when we cry out for things to change can we try to do it only through worldly standards raw laws and rules in politics and all the other things were doing what we end up doing is I think Noah find the wisdom of God and the witness of God to the world around us cuz we buy into the fact that something else someone else has to do this again these response rolling around in my head. These things are spiritually discerned.

So I'm talking to the Church of God this morning. I'm talking to those people who know Christ just some of the things are going to talk about can only be understood through that is we're going to move forward. Can we move on and do that? All right. I want to talk about Liberty. This is one of the most. interesting Concepts in frustrating Concepts that scripture has put in place for me. Why doesn't God just stop the evil? Why did they give human beings the ability to choose whether or not to do right around up there really was a loving God in this world? Why wouldn't he take care of all of the problems and things and make things all well for us if you really is 11 guy. In Jeremy's covered this so I'm not going to go in detail the text, but I'm just make a couple comments after I read it but it begins in the garden for us. It already happened in the heavenlies. the fall didn't occur here first that occurred in the Heavenly evil struck the heavenlies before it struck here and we always think it's all about us and it's not now the serpent. The Satan where was more crafty than any of their Beasts of the field that the Lord God had made? He said to the woman did God actually say you shall not eat of any tree in the garden. If you remember the story God made this beautiful garden and he told them look there's one tree. I don't want you to eat from and what was he putting in play in the garden? You have a choice you have a choice whether to believe me or not. Believe me and now we run into a serpent. Not only do you have a choice but there's somebody else that's anti-god that is you want to say Antichrist. It's approaching you insane Wayne and and I got doesn't have it all together. He's trying to withhold from you and will read that you don't need to do it. That way. You can do it this way and do better you're going to trust as it were because the devil is is the prince in the principality and power of the air in here on Earth. Does that make sense? And so he has some control here and what he saying is if you do these things what we're doing is we're buying into a control is not of God if it's somebody else. We may eat the fruit of the tree in the garden. The woman said the guy said You shall not eat of the fruit. Of the tree that is in the midst of the garden either shy you touch it unless you died, but the serpent said to the woman you're not going to die for God knows it when you eat it. Your eyes will be open to be like God knowing Good and Evil. And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food and that was a delight to the eyes and that the tree was to be desired to make one wise. She took its fruit and ate and she also gave some to her husband and he ate and he ate. Then the eyes of both were open and they knew that they were naked they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves one quad. We're also introduced to the idea that not only do we have a choice, but there's a temperature.

Just going to try to pull us away from making a choice of God now. I honestly I'm not really a theologian. Jeremy's that guy he's the nerd but that's that's a concept that's bugging me forever that God would give so much Liberty to people to make a choice. In fact, I would make the case and hear me out before you throw me out. I would make the case that Liberty is more important to God than anything else in all of his creation freedom for being for people to choose is more important than anything else. is Liberty and it has Mankind we try to take Liberty away from people. I find that very interesting to and that should tell you a little bit about how evil can be everywhere. Their Eyes Are Open they realized they were naked they realize there should be shame. Oh my gosh there something wrong with me. They had that understanding of that problem because they didn't do what God want them to do. So evil in the world at that time. So spiritual discernment. God gave us Liberty to make those choices. If I decided to go out and shoot somebody. I could I have the Liberty to try to do that. There may be opportunities for others to stop me before I did. Did you fall what I'm saying? But God is giving me free volition to be able to do that. Not that I would ever do that. I just had to say that but the point is I think it's important for us to understand that let me move on to love. Spiritual discernment without Liberty. It's impossible to love.

Because without Liberty you can't make a choice. You can't choose to love somebody. So you have that freedom for love and that gives you at least the major hint into why we have the Liberty in the freedom to do what we we want to do instead of what God wants us to do because that's the only way love exists. If you put a weapon to somebody's head and say you have to love me that's not Freedom. That's Force if Would you really want to live in a utopian society where there's no where it were? I don't know about you. I think the struggle is worth something. I really do. How would you know, what was beautiful if you didn't see the ravages of pollution on Earth. I'm just being serious. How would you know what health is if you didn't see it if you didn't see what sickness is how would you know those Concepts that are really important but without Freedom you cannot love

Matthew 5 43 to 48 you have heard that it was said You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.

What do you think are we loving our neighbors and hitting your enemies?

What kind of hating our neighbor's nephew? Are we? But I say to you love your enemy. And I know we talked about this. This is been something that's been brought up a lot from time to time.

You have to choose to love.

That's why we have freedom to choose if we couldn't choose we could never love our enemies. We would hate them. We could never choose the person we love to spend the rest of our life with either you see how that goes both ways the ability for us to choose to do the hard thing to do. The thing that may damage has the most with which of the which is our enemies and choose to love them. Even though they're our enemies to choose to love them and some passages even they're hunting us down and trying to persecute us the scripture tells us we have to love them. And this is this is a the most powerful force in the entire universe this kind of love because it's a love based on commitment to love based on sacrifices to love that does something for the other person regardless of the consequences that does to you

That's an amazing kind of choice. It doesn't always feel good either. So you guys know that there's a lot of people in this room the love people for years and years and years and years children and spouses and some other things in name know it doesn't feel good. But sometimes you step up and you love through anyways, but if you didn't have the understanding of your ability to choose you just hate them automatically because that's what would happen without Troy. You didn't have the ability to make that choice. Pray for those who persecute you.

It means they they exist to make life miserable for you. I mean that that we can go further and further think of all the persecuted people didn't even know about in recent history.

We're supposed to pray for those who persecute you again. It's a choice love is a choice that we make and you don't understand that in the world. What we do is we fight about now we do it. a lot more noble we going Facebook fight about it. Then unfriend anybody that disagrees with her so we kill them on Facebook.

I'm not praying.

So that you may be something Daughters of your father. This is Father's day. Do you want to be Sons and Daughters of our father in the word sons does mean daughters as well. By the way, who is it heaven for he makes the sun rise on the evil and the good and sends rain on the just and the unjust no think about that. The blessings this world brings to you. He brings to them the bad things that happened to the people in this world that happens to us as well. The difference isn't the thing that happened to us. The difference is how we respond to those pink. If we want to be the Sons and Daughters of the true father the father of all of us, we need to love our enemies and we need to pray for those who persecute us. That was a thought right before this and that's how we become that because life happens to everybody moving on if you love those who love you. What reward do you have? Even the IRS. I mean even the tax collectors do the same. And if you greet only Brothers, what more are you doing than others? Do not even the Gentiles do the same if you only hang out with the people you like?

You therefore must be perfect as your heavenly father is perfect. What are you saying is love.

Makes you perfect choosing to love makes you perfect praying for those who are after you make your perfect and I'm calling us is a body of Believers particularly during the season were in to do just those very same thing. That's the call and I don't have to tell you what to do. Every one of you know in your life already of God is speaking to those things you need to deal. I don't need to tell you. What I'm asking you to do is take the opportunity to be still to pause the be humble to begin praying for those things in those people in those circumstances. You hate the most. And wait for God to move because he will begin to change your hearts and ways you could not have even imagined and that's the testimony that changes the world life happens to us all we learn In this passage, but that's the testimony that changes the world around us. It is not the fact that we staff stand for the right things and we stand for the moral thing. The walk he'll even the Bible says that but the spirit brings life. Jesus love from the cross. This is something we talked about before Not only was he sacrificing his life for the whole world all the sins you commit and all the sins that have been committed against you he died for those that the only way we have the ability to forgive because if that's spiritual discernment when we've been personally harmed by somebody else. Yes what Jesus died on the cross for that sin and it's that power that allows us to forgive them.

Aunt but he did more than that even more than that. He was hanging on the cross and you look to his mother and made sure John was going to take care of her. He's he's dying during all the sense of the whole world and he has enough compassion and sympathy Philip the Apostle John and his mother and said behold. Thy son Behold. Thy mother. Do you look if the thieves that were nailed to the cross next to him? And you sure as one he's going to be with him today in Paradise. What should he said? You understand who I am. I'm the god of the whole world. I'm the one that's going to make you righteous. I don't need to talk to you. You need to be a follower. I'm saying instead. He looks to him and loved him. And said today you're going to be with me and said he's dying on the cross for the whole world. And he looked the ones who put him there about this just last week you look to the ones that put him there and looked at them and said father forgive them. Why because they don't know what they're doing. They have no understanding of what they're doing. They don't have the spiritual discernment to comprehend the things that are happening around them and we do in price because the Holy Spirit dwell within us that's love. We'll talk about repentance.

And after repentance, I want to talk about forgiveness. In these are tools and they are tools. Their gifts and they are GIF. There's things that God gives us and they are things that God gives us. The changes the world around us.

because when someone wrongs me

I am called. The forgive them when I Wrong somebody else. I am called to repent and repent means to have a change of mind. Is Liberty what the term means it means you have one understanding it changes to another understanding that it was I think this way and now that I've been exposed and for us in Christ the power of the Holy Spirit exposes and we realized oh my goodness. This is changed. I love to talk to people who have just recently come to know Christ. I've given their life to Christ and it's been within the last year and you sit down and talk to him and they will tell you how things I used to do. They can't do anymore because they get trouble that God speaks to him and they move away from those they would have never done before they find their sons moving in that direction because because God is speaking to them because there's just part of him that after repent there's a part of them that has to make things right if they're doing wrong and that's what God calls us to in what a gift we can give to those We Heart First place will repent to his guy but can you imagine the recovery groups in America figure this out years ago to repay. You have to do your very best to make those right with those around you when you do that and we have to do that. I don't need to tell you where you have to do that. You already know you already know those places as relationships those things in your life where you have not been with Christ would cause you to be are you actually done bad things to them? You already know those things you need to have a conversation with God as what do I do about this and then be obedient to do that about that thing? Is everyone of us do? Because we are mandatorily called to repent. So, I don't know people who have never done anything wrong and you talk to him really bug me. I can't even stand up and preach a sermon and not do something wrong.

Exactly what I'm saying? That's just the way it is. And so repentance is a thinking there's this passage and Daniel. I'm going to read I'm not going to read the whole thing. But this is homework, you have to read Daniel chapter 9. Can you say that? I'm going to go home and read Daniel Daniel chapter 9. So let me tell you what's going on here. Daniel is a prisoner and a profit. He was carried away prison in prison from from Jerusalem by the Babylonian Empire. He was enslaved in the Babylonian Empire and the reason Jerusalem fell was because they were completely disobedient to a God wanted them to do he warned them for years hundreds of years before it fell but when it fell it fell in a big way, the temple was destroyed houses were knocked down they kidnap the smartest in the brightest pretty much teenagers and Drug them to put them into servitude and in the Bible on it this point when you read this prayer, he's been there almost 70 years cuz God said you guys are going to be in captivity for 70 years. Could you imagine he was still alive? He was a young man. And this is a guy where his front door was kicked in he was kidnapped. He was castrated, you know, he was put in service. To the king and he became wise Kings looked up to him because of his wisdom. That's a whole nother story. I'm not going to get into right now but reach after 9, but when he realized through reading the prophets that the seven years was about to ending God was going to begin taking them back to where they were supposed to be to the promised land he repented.

But he repented. All the things they did to tell you that's important here all the time. I didn't commit that sin. Therefore. I don't need to repent and there is some truth in that but their places and we need to look at the body of Christ understand if you if you want to make this apples and apples because you're talking about the nation of Israel is God's chosen people in the New Testament talking about the church is God's chosen people. We're not talking about the United States of America. The United States of America is not God's chosen people even know God's been blessed us like crazy Israel was but the church is in the church's World War I so if you want to address this we need to address this as a church in the end of the church. What he did is is a member of the church. So to speak a prophet of the people of Israel he repented for everybody. And I just love the beginning of this prayer and how trees because it tells him what he thought and what they needed to do because he wanted them to be able to successfully return to Jerusalem and rebuild the Temple and things would go well to a burden him and I'm going to challenge you to think through the sin in our churches. And ask God to forgive us.

That makes sense to take that to him. We repent individually for the things we have done, but there's things we do is a church worldwide that we need to repent of And I'm going to say this again, you guys know those things that God will talk to you about with this. I don't need to specifically point out things because I'm trusting that God speaks to you, but you need to walk away and repent but he goes on to say this in the first year of dyrason of a hastur is The Descent a Meade who was made King of the realm of the Chaldeans. In the first year of his Reign I Daniel perceived in the book The number of years that according to the word of the Lord to Jeremiah the prophet must pass before the end of the desolations of Jerusalem namely 70 years you realize I've lived here. This whole time. In the 70 years is almost up. And I'm afraid that this would this would be me that we're not going to be okay, and then he goes on to say then I turn my face to Velour guy seeking him by prayer and please for mercy in fasting in sackcloth and Ashes. He humbled himself before guy and if you know the story of Daniel, he had no reason from a human point of view to Humble himself at all. He did many many Godly things. Scripturally. He said I pray the Lord my God to make confession sing Oh Lord the great and awesome God who keeps Covenant and steadfast love with those who love him and keep his Commandments. We have sinned and done wrong and acted wickedly Andre Bell turning aside from your Commandments and rules and then he goes on and on and on and specifically pointed that in specificity the kinds of sins are committed and when it was all over,

The power of God showed up God showed up at the angel of the Lord showed up. To meet him and talk to him in response to whisper.

As far as of Christ not only do we need to repent individually. I really believe there's a good example and I'm not saying you did this thing. What I'm saying is is a hole and say what are those things were how we're not living up and let's take those and repent of those and move forward and help People Help the people around us with the lies that God has called us and wants us to live.

You can't be married. for even a month Or fifty years or more without the constant state of forgiveness going on between two human beings in my right. Are you guys all got your act together in perfect. You never have to you never asked for forgiveness. You never need to be forgiven in your marriage. We know that. in relationship

And we need to ask for forgiveness. Even though Jesus is covered it all even though all of our sins past present and future are taking care of because he is there's something significant about coming to the place where we confess our sins and we seek his forgiveness. And also those who wronged us remember I talked about the worst things that have ever happened to you and I don't care what it is. Jesus took that on the cross and died on the cross now only for the persons or people who committed it but also for you. He took that penalty so we had the ability to forgive. And he doesn't ask forgive Maybe. He asked forgive. In fact, it's in the Lord's Prayer. If you don't forgive those who wrong you you will not be forgiven what God was saying is if you don't forgive you probably don't know Christ. Get us a church. We hang onto angst and anger and into the sins of the past. And all of us understand some of what that is, but I got to tell you is the body of Christ. The only way you get through that is for extending not only repentance which we talked about. We need to repent of that by the hand of forgiveness. And forgiveness means you're letting them off the hook. Now, there's natural consequences that they're going to have to go through your time talking about on the hook in your heart. You see what I mean? Sometimes the law has consequences in their natural consequences. That's that's a whole different ball game that I'm not talking about. I'm addressing the church but in the body of Christ That's what we're called to do were called to forgive. Ephesians 4 let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you along with all malice. Now the reason you're angry and bitter and you clamor and you Slanders because of horrible things have happened to you. And sometimes they do that even when small things happen to a horrible things that happened to your eye because I need to say you kind of one another are you kidding me God. Do you know what they did? tenderhearted

Come on, really? forgiving one another As God in Christ forgave you. Show me ask you a question. How much have you been forgiven by God?

I don't see Adolf Hitler in here. And you need to be forgiven a lot and probably did not repent and wasn't for giving you don't know. I don't think so. I'm just using that term to talk about one of the worst-case scenarios. I could pull out at the moment. bedtime You know.

Christ did everything even forgive him.

Proceed everything even to forgive us.

Price of everything so we could walk free.

Last thing I want to talk about today.

natural living none of these new Concepts these come out in my sermons from time to time through history. This is the stuff that's rolling around and do we do that was coming, right?

I kept it up here. Just exactly for that reason. I wasn't here to run up and give it to him. So and I've read this recently, but I think this is significant and I want you to see this and embrace his face on everything we talked about this morning.

and this is God talking through Jeremiah to his people who are in captivity the same one. We just talked about before and he was telling them know if you're going to be there for 70 years don't believe the prophets are telling me it's going to be a couple years to return home. That's not going to happen. It's going to be 70 years. So do you think maybe it's followers of Christ if we're his people were in captivity here. I mean do you think this world a little bit hostile to Christianity is a hole? Do you think that we live in a place? Where is not the best influence any longer for a while? It may have been a better influence but has never been a good influence. And are you going to be here for a while going to pack unless you're going to heaven but you going to pack and go somewhere else. This is where you're going to be in Christ. Let me tell you what to do Jeremiah 29:5 270 says build houses living then plant Gardens and eat their produce. He said since you're going to be there, I want you to move in.

I want you to work Agricultural Society. I want you to work. I want you to put food on the table. I want you to make produce. I want you to sell those and give those to neighbor so they have the things I need to I want you to become part of the fabric of society when it comes to living in that culture from the standpoint of that be one of them. He goes on to say take wives have sons and daughters take wife your sons and give your daughters in marriage that they made their sons and daughters X, they're not decree what he saying is be fruitful and multiply where you're at build families. Because I want to say but seek and here's the important thing. I think this is the most important thing for us. But seek the welfare of the city where I've sent you that word welfare is a very strong and powerful word and it means financially it means from a safety standpoint. That means from affluent standpoint. What it means is what it means is a place where people can live in flourish. It does make it a place where you're seeking the welfare of the city, not the condemnation of the city and we can talk about Good Year and we can talk about Estrella Mountain Ranch. We can talk about the United States of America is our country. But we have a lot of people in this world right now not seeking the welfare of where they live there seeking just the opposite but God calls us has the body of Christ to seek the welfare in those whip ways and that means get involved become part of the solution. We talk about those things. We wanted to we know some of the things God wants us to do. Where we live and how we live we know and sometimes we don't we know how God wants us to be a neighbor. We know how we're supposed to treat people as we come and go we know that and he saying continue to do that.

And pray to the Lord on his behalf.

I say all the time pray as if everything depends upon it because it did. Pray for where we live.

4 in its welfare you Hawaii find what you want things to change in America today? It's not up to our government is not up for cities. It's not up to just human beings in general even though we're human beings in general least I hope so.

It's up to the body of Christ. Skip to those who are called by his name to Humble ourselves and pray and seek his face. That's not a scripture written for America. By the way, that's a scripture to put it in modern-day vernacular to the church. That's what we need to do. But I'm going to challenge you during the season and during this time to do those things think on those things. Spend some time with guy get on your face if you have to. Play God what do you want me to do? How do you want me to do it where those things in my life that I need to not do? Did I need to repent of who do I need to forgive in my life? That's really wrong me so I can be free to move on to do what you called me to do work on. That's what we need to do it. I promise you we don't need to do the big thing. Most of us are never going to stand on the platform with hundreds of thousands of people listening to us. But we have a next door neighbor. We have the person that works in a grocery store. We have the place of where we work. We haven't we I could say that on and on that's who we have and that's who we come in contact with and that's who we Embrace and that's who we love and those are the things that we do. In Christ has a body cry.

move in seek the welfare. and pray
