Your days may be long
Proverbs 9:10-11
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom,
and the knowledge of the Holy One is insight.
For by me your days will be multiplied,
and years will be added to your life.
Proverbs 22:4
The reward for humility and fear of the Lord
is riches and honor and life.
Ephesians 6:2-3
“Honor your father and mother” (this is the first commandment with a promise), “that it may go well with you and that you may live long in the land.”
It may go well with you
You may multiply greatly
A good godly father will love God deeply (Deuteronomy 6:4-5)

Love God sincerely (with all your heart)
Love God selflessly (with all your soul)
Love God strongly (with all your might)
A good godly father will learn God’s Word intentionally (Deuteronomy 6:6-9)

Learn with conviction (v. 6)
Learn with consistency (v. 7 - teach them to your children & converse with them)
Learn with clarity (v. 8-9 - write it on your hands and heads [thoughts and actions] and on your homes)
