Priestly Blessing

Numbers 6:22–27 NKJV
22 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying: 23 “Speak to Aaron and his sons, saying, ‘This is the way you shall bless the children of Israel. Say to them: 24 “The Lord bless you and keep you; 25 The Lord make His face shine upon you, And be gracious to you; 26 The Lord lift up His countenance upon you, And give you peace.” ’ 27 “So they shall put My name on the children of Israel, and I will bless them.”
The blessing came directly from God for the less is blessed of the better. and and was only mediated through the priest
‘This is the way you shall bless the children of Israel. The priests lift up their hands and (Psalm 134:2)
Must be must be out of love and sincere heart and thus it should be received as well.. Jesus also lifted up His hands and blessed the disciples

The very heart of God is to bless us and multiply us

No Biblical record of Abraham blessing Isaac may be because he did not want to bless Ishmael as well.. but God directly blessed Isaac

11 After the death of Abraham, God blessed Isaac his son. And Isaac settled at Beer-lahai-roi.
The power of blessing others transferred to Isaac
Jacob blessed his twelve sons Genesis 48 & 49
Genesis 27:30 ESV
30 As soon as Isaac had finished blessing Jacob, when Jacob had scarcely gone out from the presence of Isaac his father, Esau his brother came in from his hunting.
Followers of Yeshua are made part of the chosen people

9 So then, those who are of faith are blessed along with Abraham, the man of faith.
Now after Yeshua all believers are ordained as priests — royal priesthood

9 But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;
Revelation 1:5–6 ESV

This was a type of Christ’s errand into the world, which was to bless us (Acts 3:26), as the high priest of our profession. The last thing he did on earth was with uplifted hands to bless his disciples, Lu. 24:50, 51

26 To you first, God, having raised up His Servant Jesus, sent Him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from your iniquities.”

50 And he led them out as far as Bethany, and lifting up his hands he blessed them.
This the same blessing Jesus would have blessed the disciples
The Blessing is the very creative force of God
God’s restoration of the The Blessing on mankind, where it belonged, through His blood covenant with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob passing it down the line until Jesus was born our of that covenant

The word blessing us also applied to thanksgiving

As we thank God for His salvation God in returns thanks you for accepting the invitation and welcomes you home and blesses you
Bless in Hebrew is ‘Barak’ - Kneel
Aramaic - ‘Brek’ - Praise
May your Heavenly Father kneel before you making Himself available to you in order to minister and bestow His gifts, promises, etc

His blessing is unlimited
