Wake Up

Matthew 24:36–39 ESV
“But concerning that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father only. For as were the days of Noah, so will be the coming of the Son of Man. For as in those days before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day when Noah entered the ark, and they were unaware until the flood came and swept them all away, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.
“For as were the days of Noah”
Genesis 6:5 ESV
The Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intention of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.
Genesis 6:9 ESV
These are the generations of Noah. Noah was a righteous man, blameless in his generation. Noah walked with God.
I want to deal with 4 groups I see in Noah’s day
1- People eating and drinking
2- Marrying and giving in marriage
3- Evil, corrupt and violent
4- Righteous
People eating and drinking - That is, were going on in the regular and unsuspecting current of life. (Business as usual)
Marring and giving in marriage - The words do not necessarily imply special wickedness, but perfect security, anticipating no coming doom.
Evil and corrupt - Every intention of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.
Noah - Righteous, Noah walked with God.....
The bible calls Noah a preacher of righteousness. (2 peter 2:5)
Wake Up!
The Church must be the righteous light for the world to see
We must walk with God - Abide and delight
Protest and Proclaim -
We are still the example for this world to see…
Don’t get caught up being complacent and comfortable
Political but no power of the Holy Spirit
Vocal on social media but not speaking the gospel as Ambassadors and the Kings Priest
Wake up and see that we still have to tell people about the Ark of safety.
The first place to start.
Hebrews 11:7 ESV
By faith Noah, being warned by God concerning events as yet unseen, in reverent fear constructed an ark for the saving of his household. By this he condemned the world and became an heir of the righteousness that comes by faith.
Lets pray:
Our Country
State and local government
The hearts of our young people
Let your church wake up!!!
