Many commentaries new and old, church fathers and earlier writings put those 500 that Paul talks about in 1Co 15:6  /After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep ./here.

2.     Why would they bow to someone they doubted was the Messiah the very Son of God.
a.     Yet, there were over 500 there and some of them had not seen the resurrected Christ and may have not committed themselves as of yet.
b.    Surely the disciples would not have doubted this as at this point, they had all seen him.
*B.    *Was it where He was going to send them and what He wanted them to say that may have caused some type of doubt?

They knew what they were going to have to say.

They were going to have to go and tell people that the person that was crucified some forty days earlier was indeed the Messiah.

They were going to tell them that he is the way, the truth and the life and that no man can come to the father except by Him.

d.    What happen to Christ when He told them that He was the “I AM!?”  Crucificion

No one will be able to put to film all that the Son went through to purchase our salvation, but these people saw him suffer and die.

Now He is telling them to go back and say, Jesus of Nazareth was the “I AM!”
He is Lord.
2.     They knew where they were going to go: 
Act 1:8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you:
a.     Jerusalem, If I get out of Jerusalem alive you want me to go where?
b.    and in all Judaea,  Judea was under the dominion of the scribes, and Pharisees, and priests.
If I get out of Judaea alive you want me to go where?
c.     and in Samaria, irreconcilable hatred arose between them and the Jews.   a place of resort for all the outlaws of Judea.
They received willingly all the Jewish criminals and refugees from justice.

·         Others in our life time have taken up the baton and have gone
