Far from home and friends, captives in a foreign land, three young Hebrews left us a powerful lesson in NON-compromise. Even when tested by fire, they did not waver. They knew their God was ABLE to deliver, but whether He would? But that did not change their stand one iota. We may not be tested as they were, but we will be tested, and will we compromise? The lesson is all through scripture, to stand fast against deteriorating values, in a highly secular world, and amid dispiriting circumstances. We don't have to compromise either. We can stand strong for the God who CAN deliver, even when we do not know whether or not He will. Let's go to the Scriptures and learn from these young captives who stood the test of fire.
