King James Version Chapter 3

3 Now Moses kept the flock of Jethro his father in law, the priest of Midian: and he led the flock to the backside of the desert, and came to the mountain of God, even to Horeb. 2 And the angel of the LORD appeared unto him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush: and he looked, and, behold, the bush burned with fire, and the bush was not consumed. 3 And Moses said, I will now turn aside, and see this great sight, why the bush is not burnt. 4 And when the LORD saw that he turned aside to see, God called unto him out of the midst of the bush, and said, Moses, Moses. And he said, Here am I. 5 And he said, Draw not nigh hither: put off thy shoes from off thy feet, for the place whereon thou standest is holy ground.

I. We Need People That Will Turn Aside!

Will you just stop for a moment?

Here we are now we are online. He we are now there is a message that is about to be preached. Here we are with all kinds of things going on around us. We all have duties and we all have commitments and we all have resposibilities. We all have our own passions and desires and things that WE would like to do when WE would like to do it.

So the question is, will you just stop for a moment? Will you just pull away from all distractions, from all work, from all duties, from all desires and personal wants for a moment

Will you just turn aside and listen to what is about to be said.

There was a point when people would stop to hear what he preacher had to say. So will you just turn aside and listen to what this preacher has to say this night?

Will you be like Moses and turn aside while he was tending to His sheep on the backside of the desert? He could of said but I have so much to do and I have so much responsibility but what would he have missed if he did not take the time to turn aside. Oh the dread of missing that eternal moment where your life was supposed to be changed forever all because you would not turn aside.

Moses made the smartest move he could have made in all His life because He turned aside from all his duty just to see what this great sight was.

II. We Need People That Will Turn Aside To See This Great Sight!

The sight of the Great and Mighty God.

The sight of His great works.

Only God can consume a bush with fire but yet it never burn.

Only God can divide the sea giving access to the other side.

Only God can lick up water with fire.

Only God can turn back time.

Only God can convert a soul.

Fire consumes! How is this possible? The bush does not burn yet it is engulfed in flame! Our God is a consuming! There was a manifestation of the glory of God and His glory, the eternal glory, the fire of His Spirit engulfed something that came forth from the earth yet it did not burn it up.

Man was formed from the very dust of the ground.

We have this treasure in earthen vessels.

The sight of the church, the redeemed. Angels marvel at this great salvation!

How can this bush be on fire and not burn? Likewise, how can the church be on fire and not burn?

How would you ever expect Moses to turn aside just to see a bush. Bushes were everywhere. The thing that caught is attention was the fire.

How is it that the earthly is not consumed by the Divine. Jesus and the incarnation.

In a day when people see the church as irrelevant.

Turning aside to see this great sight will do many things in your life!

III. Turning Aside To See This Great Sight Will Grant You Opportunity To Hear God’s Voice!

If you are willing to take the time to turn aside and see this great sight then you will hear what God is saying to you.

4 And when the LORD saw that he turned aside to see, God called unto him out of the midst of the bush, and said, Moses, Moses.

God is speaking your name tonight!

God speaks out of the midst of the fire! He is calling you out of the fire midst of the fire!

His Spirit!

His Church!

IV. Turning Aside To See This Great Sight Will Cause You To Have A Real Encounter With The God Of The Bible!

I will dwell amongst them. They will be My people, and I will be their God! He is the dwell amongst you God!

V. Turning Aside To See This Great Sight Will Cause You To See Your Own Condition In Light Of God’s Character!

We Need People That Will Turn Aside To See Their Own Sin.

Leprosy!

VI. Turning Aside To See This Great Sight Will Teach You The Truth That God Has A Plan For Your Life!

iii. Plan To Use
