HOW TO HAVE THE STRENGTH TO GO ON DURING CRISIS “We have suffered terror and pitfalls, ruin and destruction.” Streams of tears flow from my eyes because my people are destroyed.” Lamentations 3:47-48 “My eyes fail from weeping, I am in torment within; my heart is poured out on the ground because my people are destroyed…” Lamentations 2:11 1. FOCUS YOUR ATTENTION ON GOD “Let him sit alone in silence, for the LORD has laid it on him. Let him bury his face in the dust- there may yet be hope.” Lamentation 3:28-29 2. ASK GOD TO REMOVE YOUR FEARS I called on your name, LORD, from the depths of the pit. You heard my plea: “Do not close your ears to my cry for relief.” You came near when I called you, and you said, “Do not fear.” Lamentations 3:55-57 “I sought the LORD, and he answered me; he delivered me from all my fears.” Psalm 34:4 3.
