War for Your Soul

Where is Chapala to heal these Lord that are suffering from the covid-19 and any other thing that Maybe plaguing them today God whatever the depression whatever the fear whatever is going on in their lives today God we plead your blood for their call. We plead the blood of the lost to this world. We plead the blood over our nation for the Lord. We asked you to be with us and help us as we go into this bible study this evening. I will give you praise and glory the name of the father Son and the Holy Spirit Hitman a man.

Today we want to spend a few moments talkin about. the war for your soul whether we believe it or not today. And whether we like it or not, we're in war. And there's a war going on for your soul right now. So what does go into what the scripture says about this today and what we can do? the winner

I'm taking today's topic from a book by Lois Schultz. In the book title is things of God. One of the topics is concerning our personal spiritual battles. Many times we fail to recognize in time that we are in a spiritual battle. We are satisfied many times that is just circumstance.

As we continue through this letter to the Ephesians. We find IT addresses. Some books personal things of God.

Do you know? What armor is for? Armor is for a personal protection. The armor of God is meant to protect us the church and persecution trouble and temptation as long as we are on Earth. So there's Armor of God is for the church is Perfect protection, you know, if we are a child of God today, we are part of his church. And so the Arbors given to us individually and it's gives us collectively. Text church and which we apart of. These words put on the armor are put on the whole armor of God. Are for all of God's people today. from the smallest in the Bible School to the senior adult God has made this available for our defense against the devil schemes. However, they appear.

Ephesians 6 11 through 12 says put on the whole armor of God that you may be able to stand against The Wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood but against principalities against Powers against the rulers of Darkness of this world against spiritual wickedness wickedness in high places.

Is anyone found themselves fighting at Battle of late? How about staying home? staying out of church services How about keeping a safe distance from everyone? Does that sound like something God would be promoting? Or something Satan would be promoting. So I asked again. Do you think we've been in a battle? Do you think you've been in a battle lately? I feel like we've been in and out all out War.

They live the Greeks live life many of them based on the gods of Mount Olympus. How was God Zeus his wife herna?

Poseidon Neptune Apollo, Athena plus a few more and the humans they played with the word Chimas were their playthings. when the gods fought each other they're humans fall each other. Today it's called mythology. One thing was cracked and ever. There is a spiritual battle. And it's raging on. And even though we may not be able to see it. What are physical eye? The battle is going on. I said battle rages on between the devil and his demons. And Christ and his angels. They are fighting for your soul. You know that did you realize that that

Christ is fighting daily. He and his angels are fighting for your soul you have protection if you know the Lord as your savior, even if you're lost in this world today Christ is fighting for your so. You say but Jesus defeated site Satan on the cross. Yes, he did. He can also defeat the Devil in your life 2. You still have free will. It's your choice. Who you choose to serve? God didn't take away your right to choose. When he provided the Plan of Salvation for us, so it's some point, you know, we have to make up our own mine. Who we going to choose are we going to choose the Lord or we going to choose to just do things that seems good to us? And when we do that we're playing into the hands of the devil.

wherefore taken to you the whole armor of God that she may be able to we stand in the day or in the evil day. and having done all to stand Fusion 613 Most believe life is unfair, right? The things you want to do or sinful in the things you do as a Christian get you in trouble with the world around you. You just can't win. Why you say? Because you were living. Living on the fence gets very uncomfortable.

I can't stand it. You might say. It may be your reply. You can always stand it every day seems to be tougher and tougher. You're right. You can't do it without God. When we give it all to the Lord. He gives us the armor. We need to stand against the world.

Greater is he that is in us than he that is in the world. Let's look at God's promise to us. Ephesians 6 1415 he says stand there for Having your loins Girt about with truth. And having on the breastplate of righteousness and your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace.

First we must put on the belt of Truth.

Look for truth. Don't believe the lies of the devil. Examine your conscience allow the spirit to guide you he knows what's best. Put on the breastplate of righteousness. That relates to holy living. It will guard your heart from the darts of the devil. But living a holy life, we will defeat the Devil. Put on the shoes of the Gospel. know your testimony and what God has done for you and how he did it where you came from? And how he changed you? And be willing to share it with the Lost. Then we must learn the message of salvation. Add carrot to the world. We need to be able to tell somebody how the Christ was born lived died and returned to his father.

And we'll be coming back. We need to know that if we don't know anything else, we don't have to explain the whole Bible, but we need to be able to explain salvation to somebody. It's a non-believer. The date might that we might plant a seed that they might believe.

In all circumstances take up the shield of faith. With which you can extinguish all the Flaming darts of the evil one Ephesians 6:16.

Above all Faith why? The devil wants you to doubt what the Bible says. If the devil can cause you to believe the Bible is old fashioned out of date, then he can tell you anything and keep you confused. Faith is The Shield you hold in front of you? to protect against evil words false teachings Temptations and cruel accusations

The Shield of faith is strong It's not blind faith. Is faith based on God's word alone. It's based on the testimony of the Saints. It's based on the truth of History. And the lives of God's people today.

It's based on fruit. Many times we look back and we see what God has done for others.

We see what God has done for others. Then we know what he can do for us.

And take the helmet of salvation. And the sword of the spirit, which is the word of God.

Are most vulnerable part?

Severe body is our head. Her mind and heart. He tells us to put on the helmet of salvation.

What's your saved be sure the devil cannot defeat you. He can tempt you even calls you hurt. But he can't kill you. In fact, you can fight back with the sword of the spirit God's word. When you know the word you recognize the devil's lies. We know the word of God. It's easier for us to recognize when something is doesn't sound true and when it doesn't sound true, we need to be able to research it out and find the truth of the matter.

Talks about praying at all times praying in the spirit. with all prayer and supplication do they attend keep alert with all press appearance making supplications for all the saints Ephesians 6 1819 and also for me that words may be given to me. Complacency is encouraged and evangelism is deplored. an Old Testament message from Jeremiah may be appropriate. for today's Church

Jeremiah 46 3 and 4 says prepare your Shields both large and small and March out for the battle. Harness, the horses mouths to steeds take your positions with helmets on polisher Spears put on your armor. Sounds like somebody is getting ready to go to the battle folks. We're not getting ready to go to battle weary in the battle. As you get don't have their armor on you need to get it on in a hurry. God gives us the armor so we can stand firm against evil.

1st Corinthians 10 verse 12 through 13 So if you think you are standing firm, be careful. That you don't fall. No, temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful. He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. but when you are tempted He will also provide a way out so that you can endure it. Wonderful with God even when we are tempted and tried. He is there and he does provide us a way out.

So as we get towards the end here today. Has about seven different things.

Sword of the spirit we can use that as our weapon to one of the weapons to fight back. Has guidance from God's word we were able to use that to understand and and be able to divide us under his know what truth really is. Shield of faith You know, we need faith. hope it's hope in the face of Doubt when the enemy comes around and try to get you to doubt what you know. Try to get you to doubt your salvation tries to get you to doubt what the Lord is telling you try to get you to doubt what the word says. When you hear people that is placing doubt. The way it end. Raise up your Shield of faith. believe What God Says have all all said and done all these work through prayer. It's by prayer that we get to guidance and the power. From God himself to be able to know when to raise up what armor and what weapon to fight with he's there for us. We need here.

Scripture that I have continued to go through this time of crisis in which were living today 2nd Chronicles 7:14. If my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their Wicked Ways then I will hear from heaven and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land. And I do believe today that if we continue to turn away from God. Thanks. Just going to get a lot worse. Pray that our nation will turn back to God.
